Having received a blank cheque for his weapons development project from President Suvorov, one of General Aleksandr's top priorities was the creation of an exclusive tank for his Shock Divisions. The iconic Sentinel tank was considered unsuited due to a number of factors, such as its poor power-to-weight ratio, mechanical complexity and the fact it was sold on the export market which compromised the secrecy of its inner workings. During the African campaign, a Shock Division stationed in Kurmuk field-tested the first prototype series of a tank that was heavily based on an experimental design from the late 1950s, the enigmatic Object 279. However, during subsequent battles against Chinese, American and later GLA forces, the tank was deemed insufficient, leading to a complete redesign that entered service just in time for the Russo-European War. Dubbed the Golem, this new heavy tank offered superior protection and a more rapid-fire 152mm cannon than the unwieldy Sentinel, and was later equipped with an electromagnetic coilgun.
The "new" Golem tank is a model update for the Russian Golem tank (based on Object 279) in the community patch "Hanpatch" for the mod "Rise of the Reds".
Golem Tank's final form?
It is a model update for Golem in Hanpatch. This is not a model for the official Rise of the Reds.
the short backstory you add makes us think that it's the Golem's final redesigned. Thank you for creating such a wonderful tank.
Of course, it would be skinned as Chinese for ShockWave Chaos mod in Update 44.
