I think it would be worthwhile. Make sure it finds its way to the STALKER subreddit.

I'm interesting in seeing if this idea is ever touched upon. I imagine if downsides were introduces they could be balanced though equipment upgrades. More upgrades and more realism are always better in my book.
Make sure you download the Dead Air RePack 0.98b located here:
Run the setup.exe and you're good to go. After you're done grab the translation and unzip it in the same folder. This is the new process for 0.98b. There are no longer 5 files like in 0.98a.
For a mod running on the COP engine... I don't think he's wrong. If the MDT gets something working on Call of Chernobyl's platform then we'll see if they can still compete! :D
I agree, it's good to let the team know what you do and don't like about the mod. It's another thing to let out an autistic screech while commenting on a mod, developed by normal people, in their free time, offered to you free of charge. I remember some kid saying this was in "early access" ... no early access is for **** you pay for. The only thing these people lost is their time, which would be LARPing on their part to pretend means a whole lot to them. I really enjoy vidya games, this is a cool hobby - I just wonder reading some of this **** if these people actually feel the same. And this isn't about Dead Air, I see the same kind of people in every gaming community I'm unfortunate enough to join.
Armors add to your carrying capacity because you need an outfit to help carry all that gear. The backpack you can buy from Sidorovich will increase your carrying capacity significantly. I think my carrying capacity was at 60kg+ with a Light Overcoat and the most basic backpack. This system is designed not about carrying the weight in the most basic sense but about having the storage capacity to carry the weight.
It is available in the current version. You just need to acquire a basic, advanced, or drug crafting kit! And you can start with a basic one from the beginning if you choose the correct starting choice.
I don't know which download you're looking at. If you want the correct link to the summer texture pack look here: Moddb.com
Third line down is Optional Summer Green Vegetation, and that link downloads it from the mod's VK page.
Sun rays are one of the weirder options. They're known to cause a lot of frame rate issues in the x-ray engine, so I've always kept them off after a little testing. Make sure the weather is correct for sun rays to be showing up, other then that I think they're a bit buggy.
I see! People have had success unpacking the Dead Air files, though I don't see the instructions immediately in front of me. Once you've done that I think you'll get your bin folder. If you want to figure of the process of getting an ENB or reshade to work, you'll be one of the first and I know people will want to see how it's done. Fundamentally Dead Air is like any other stalker mod - so if you unpack the files and you've got the knowledge to rig it together, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I hope this gets you going in the right direction.
Edit: Additionally if the atmosphere isn't to your liking you can search up the official summer texture pack!
Dead Air, for the most part, has this built into the mod. I use the following reshade settings (under the basic graphics tab):
Green: 0.50
Red: 0.50
Blue: 0.55
Vibrancy: -0.20
Within the advanced settings I've got sharpness set to half, but I've kept bloom and the others turned off. DX11 is not available in the mod because it was never implemented correctly within the x-ray engine to begin with. DX10 is the best option for graphics and performance for most people with good PCs.
"How did that pass QA?" Welcome to the beta version of the mod. You're the QA придурок. And if it's so easy to get right why haven't you done it yet?
My views have changed. After attempting to ignore the rain when it happens - it's not hugely damaging. That's kind of an interesting take on an event, I suppose, from the Dead Air Team. I'm now content to keep the Fallout happening on a 2-4 day cycle.
I agree. The little things that set Dead Air apart have really made this mod a joy to play. I look forward to whatever balancing tweaks take place before the 1.0 release. The only advice I'd give to the devs is to stick to the vision they have for Dead Air.
I've been trying out the acid rain for a bit. I don't dislike it, but I would prefer putting it on a longer cycle. I feel like it should happen once a week.
I'd love to see textures for all seasons!
I see that under Events in the Weather Options menu there is a type of weather called "Fallouts" that is, by default, disabled. Uhh... without risking turning it on, does anyone know what this option does? >:3
The documentation that the Dead Air community has desperately needed. Thank you Appuruu! :D
To get access to a larger variety of firearms you need to purchase passes to buy from Mercenaries (NATO) or the Military (Warsaw Pact).
I haven't experienced that, but you can set it back to the English translation in the options menu.
It's a common problem. Use 7-zip to extract the first file ONLY. The rest will automatically unzip.
I hope the developers keep this in mind: the mod needs more documentation for the 1.0 release, but they should keep the features that set Dead Air apart.
I can't wait to hear more. I think this beta release has been pretty valuable.
