You need to build the required buildings.
They are called "Hinterland Watchposts & Holdfasts" for cavalry
and "Castle Garrison & Regional Garrison" for most other units.

At that time, there was actually no King's Landing. The mod is set before Aegon's Conquest. AFAIK the village is just there to be able to create King's Landing when you play as the Targaryens, though I'm not sure what you have to do to upgrade it to a proper City.

Hey there, glad to see this mod is been worked on again,
i really enjoyed Petty Kings.
One thing i just noticed, the Captain of the Wights has no horse and
is stuck in the ground.
