It's lame to pirate a game.
Either indie or not.
Let's face it. Non indie games require a great amount of money to be made. Companies must sell their products in order to stay open and continue creating games.
Indie games require mostly time rather than money. But when someone sees his project is doing good - that is, making money or even has a supporting audience - he is sure to try harder to make it even better.
In either case, if you like playing a game buy it.
Even if you get bored of it eventually.
You will reward the developer for giving you some fun time playing it.
