prefers oldschool-games mostly
1st: If you read the description of the patch, right here on this very download site, you'll notice, that this patch was made for the original cd version of the game, and not the steam version.
2nd: After installing the patch, there should be a shortcut leading to the readme, within the start menu. Otherwise, you'll also find the readme within the JKII install folder.
3rd: The "extra actions" are optional. If applied to the retail version of the game, the patch will work right away. If someone needs excessive dismemberment - which will reveal non-existing damage textures on some characters (this is why i did not set excessive gore as a standard) - small extra steps will be necessary. This will then disable the use of a script, that determines cutable bodyparts for each character. That's it. And it only takes a minute.
What exactly does not work? Does your game start after applying the patch? This mod is non-excessive, so there won't be dismemberment, every time you hit someone with the saber. Check the readme for commands, to enable more excessive dismemberment.
You have to extract the content of the patch directly to C:
...not into a subfolder.
It works on 32-bit machines, don't know about 64-bit
Here is a workaround for everyone who got issues with the autosave feature: navigate to your FarCry installation folder \FCData and open "ZZZScripts150.pak". Go to Scripts\MenuScreens and delete "Campaign.lua" as well as Scripts\MenuScreens\Ingame "InGameSingle.lua". The only drawback seems to be, that the quicksave-option is not available anymore within the menu. So you'll have to decide which of both you prefer.
Pretty buggy, even in v2.1, but still one of my favourite total conversions in general. Worth the download, if you like old-school shooters.
Matto 3 and 4 are pretty much the best mods i played for Far Cry 1 so far. Haven't played them all though. Nonetheless, these are high quality. Keep it up.

If you experience a crash or overly long loading times, please change the image compression method (image format) via the in-game advanced video settings to "default" or try a different format than the one you have currently chosen. This applies especially to radeon owners.
The improved version v1.0 can now be found here: Moddb.com
This is an pretty outdated beta version of my map. I used to massively enhance (the looks, incl. geometry, lighting and hundreds of details), bugfix an nearly finish it. Unfortunately, i'm not able to upload the enhanced version at the current time, since it's saved to an internal-harddrive, which is not connected to a machine right now. I may upload it someday, though. Just wanted to mention, that this is not the grade of quality, which i'm satisfied with.
