I understand that most of the addons don't affect your addon. But I still don't know which of the addons conficts with yours? Or maybe your addons crashes the game anyway even without any other addons? There are about 6 scripts in your addon, maybe one of the is corrupted?

I really would like to use your addon, but unfortunately it crashes my games. I admit I use a LOT of addons in my Stalker Anomaly install, but I don't have any crashes. After installing your addon the game started to crash. I uninstalled your addon and....no crashes. The thing is, I don't know what to report about it, since when I check the log there is only a line about a crash code which I don't remember anymore. Only thing the crashes have in common: it was usually after F5 quick saving. Is there any known addons conflicts with your mod? How can I give you more feedback about the crashes?
PS. I had death animations addon, but i overwrote it with the patch provided in your addon's download.
PS2. The crashes occured during combat with the Mercs in Dead City.

I understand. I will try to do it myself. If I would like to remove only the spooks sounds, then I should edit the sound_channels.ltx or the ambients/presets/environment_*.ltx files?

Ok I got it. Thanks for the tips. This way I can remove only the sounds I don't like and retain the rest of it. Thanks for pointing out that out_drone and out_spooks is only in the sound_channels.ltx file, I was very confused not to find them in the sound files.

But this brings me to another idea: If you alredy edited the sound_channels.ltx files and removed the most of the distant sounds, would you mind to share the edited file with me? I mean I could save some time this way...:)

Thanks for the instructions. I've done it for the garbage map as a test and will test it if it works. I deleted all the out_spooks and out_drone sound lines. I hope it doesn't delete some of the "usefull" real sounds.
If I wanna check (hear) what sound exactly I removed from the config file, I would have to unpack the sounds from db/sounds/sounds_ambient.db0 I guess?
Honestly can't find those two files. Neither in original .db0 files nor in the gamedata/sounds files. So I can't check what they sound like.

If the author isn't active anymore, then I don't know if there is a point in mentioning it. But this mod removes the distant mutant sounds, but still leaves different distant sounds which are out of place imho. Like distant cries or other distant "zone sounds" anybody knows hot to remove all distant sound except these where there is really something going on? Like distant sounds of existing mutants and distant rifle and pistol sounds? In short: I would like to hear in soundscape only sounds that really are happening.

The comment above comes from me. I think I finally found a solution for it. I raised the gamma and brightness even more than you suggest in your readme. And now the game is acceptably bright enough.

Yes now it works. Not only can I craft the rifle or shotgun or pistol toolkit but also a lot of other things I couldn't before. Like sewing kits etc.
Now the crafting makes sense.

It is mandatory to upgrade the rifle for the underbarrel grenade launcher, which is written in the rifle description, but there is no info about an needed upgrade for the scope. You are sure about this?

I analyzed the included files in this addon.

There is the file ui_itm_craft.script

According to the file I should have the possiblity to craft (with the local Recepies1_m section) sewing kits, armor repair kits, rifle, pistol and shotgun kits and repairs.

But when I open the menu through the Basic Tools, or Advanced Tools or Expert Tools there are no such items. I only get the items from local Recepies1 and from local Recepies2.
No items from local Recepies1_m and local Recepies2_m.

What's the reason? Please help anyone.

EDIT: After investigating deeper, I found out that you can only create toolkits and repair kits if you selected the perk of inventor at game start. Am I right? If so, is there any way to change the files ingame to get this perk after game start?

The problem is with OutfitOverhaul 1.1EXT I think. But I redownloaded your addon and have overwritten the files with yours. Still I can't build a toolkit or repairkit.

Suggestion for the authors of this mod:

- now it's that when your backpack or suit is getting damaged you are able to carry less kg, this results in some awkward situations when you are getting shot or attacked by mutants your gear is getting damaged and when your loaded you suddenly can't move

- this is not realistic, in real life when your gear is getting damaged you still can move

- my suggestion is to tweak the mod, so when your gear is getting damaged and you are overloaded, then you should lose some of the equipment carried, it should fall to the ground and you still can move

- this would simulate that your equipment is getting "holes" where the stuff is getting lost, especially concerning the backpack

What do you think authors?

I observed that after some important characters being killed, like Nimble and Xenotech in Cordon i.e. After a while new stalkers will arrive which can serve as a technician or medic. So it's somehow of a relief. Also I find it quite realistic that the military tries to kill everybody who is hostile to them regardless if this is an important character or not. I agree though they could defend themselves better.

Right now I have military almost everywhere in the southern part of the maps and the gameplay became much harder. Grenades are my best friends. This is a kind of storyline in itself since, the story is that the military wants to stop stalking in the zone.
Somehow I found that this feels very realistic. Still there is the main story with the key to the hotel Polissya in Pripyat.

I am aware of this and still I had exactly 1 (one) crash after upgrading my ram. And this only after many hours of play.
So maybe I was simply lucky?

Guys, this game (and this mod) is all about ram memory. I upgraded my laptop to 16 GB ram and an ssd disk and with the same settings (quite everything on max) I played yesterday for several hours with a lot of level changes without any crashes.

I agree. Best mod so far for Stalker COP. (but it would not be possible without CoC and Misery) I play on maxed graphics and have to stop sometimes just to say wow!

Besides this I love the slow realistic gameplay. I softened some bit the hardcore gameplay with mods and tweaks but overall I like the hardcore experience.

- some room for improvement:

- missing animations for food/drink/sleep
- NPC companions when in stealth should switch off flashlight
- distant weapon sounds should be....distant
- reintroduce 3rd person view (i.e. for screenshots)
demo_record 1 works but the player is without the head and arms

My recommendations for tweak the mod (as I play):

- edit 0.15 mutant spawn rate
- edit 0.75 stalker spawn rate
This makes the zone barren and you won't meet as much mutants and stalkers, but it's extremely atmospheric, since WHEN you meet mutants it's gives you really a scare.
- turn off music (radio music ingame on)
you will hear a lot more, wind, rain, movement etc.
- install the following addons:
* misery weapon sounds
* misterkat weapon repair
* gas mask sounds remade
* dead air balancing some mutants
* dead air cook more than one piece
* no empty hand circle
* open scopes
* no blackout, input blocks
* impact sounds v2
* TRX Dynamic News revamp 4.3
* more flashlight distance 12-30m
* install HUD mod to show only health/stamina bar

- play on DirectX 9 R2.5 (most stable)
- save only through the console (almost no crashes)
- don't use vignette (adds nothing, makes crashes)
- max out graphics (if too much lower shadow quality)
- play slowly! don't rush into unknown terrain, get to a higher point and scan with binocs
- plan your route from elevated point to elevated point
- use companions to help, but don't send them in front of you
tell them to be defensive, help them they will live a lot longer
- make a lot of stashes in key areas of the whole map, carry only what you really need for the next 1 day, then come back to stashes with loot
- don't go to danger areas when not fully healthy, stay for 1-2 days at a base to be fully healthy and satiated, then go well prepared with all guns reloaded and all ammo on belt maxed out
- use bushes very often (stealth really works in this mod!)
- don't shoot every enemy mutant/stalker, concentrate on your mission, try to sneak them by
- attract mutants to other mutants (they will kill each other)
- lure mutants into anomaly traps
- don't ignore distant mutant sounds, in this mod when there is a sound, there is a source!
- use gas mask only when needed (otherwise your stamina is regaining slower, in fights your mask will be damaged)

Maybe some of the tips are helpful for you.

Weapons distant sounds. Does anybody have a fix for weapon distant sounds? They sound like they were right next to me, although the firefight is going on far away.

EDIT:

I found the problem myself. I forgot to pack my sleeping bag before and had two bag for the sleeping bag in my inventory, which I thought one of them was the sleeping bag.

Help! Can't deploy the sleeping bag anymore. I added some addons like "no blackouts" and other but even after removing them I can't deploy my sleeping bag anymore i.e. in Rostok. Can anybody help?

Grenades should be separate of Binocs. Binocs should be something like "press 5" for Binocs and Grenades G. It's a hassle that both share the same spot in the inventory and you have to change between them. Please Dead Air Team change that.

Make sure you have chosen the right type of ammo.
Make sure ammo is on your belt, not in your inventory.
Make sure your gun is not that damaged that you cannot reload.
Alternatively you can pull over the ammo to your rifle in the inventory to reload.
