Zy-El doesn't want to work either. Am I doing something wrong, or is the claim that it supports almost every mod exaggerated?

This is great, but I just have one problem. My machine ran vanilla 1.12 just fine before I installed this, but now any version or mod I try to run will work, but is so bogged down as to be unplayable. Are there any settings I can change in order to speed it up, or am I just screwed?
