Ok so i went through the red thing at the airfield where the piolt school would be and none of the doors would open how do u open them?

im using the stargate codes given after completing the tutorial is it stil because im not placing them?

when i go through a star gate it leads to nothing and i jus tfall from the sky. what am i doing wrong?
