For sound effects go to Freesound.org and get all the sound files for free. Or you can buy a cheap mic and record your own, or you can buy your own sound effects. Or you can try and make your own sound effects here Bfxr.net
There are lots of websites that also supply ambience sounds, and hundreds of free MUSIC which is royalty free.

It's not fun to rig a model, and weight the skin and then tweak all the UV coordinates for the texture and blood splats...but in the end its all worth it !!!
