Totally agree with killermonkey. If you want single player, download a N64 emulator and GoldenEye rom. Imo there's no need to recreate it. This mod is all about the multiplayer that made GoldenEye64 so great in the first place.
I wish they had done a countdown for this release like they did last time. It's 10 p.m. here already and I have no idea how long I still have to wait! :P
