Is it possible you would release some sort of compatibility for YIM's weapon tweaks? I would really, REALLY love to use the both of these together but they conflict at the base.ltx file in configs/items/weapons.

Could you possibly release a compatibility patch for "Trader's Buy Condition Tied To Goodwill" mod from Gergination's 1.5 QOL pack? Would really appreciate it!

The monolith gear drop seems a little -too- OP lol. I'd just gotten a M24 SWS green dragon at 50%+, two/three different artifacts, a tier 2 armor upgrade part (maybe another one?), and a bunch of other stuff off of just one guy. Then another guy had similar-ish stuff except he had a LMG. They take a good 4-6 shots to the head from an SKS (using non AP) to down but I'm not sure just that is worth literally small fortunes for every single kill.

It is a nice addon as a temporary work around to not having a dedicated pistol slot, however I feel like if they are going to to the route of implementing the feature into the game they should go the whole mile and alter the inventory as a whole again. I think what would be best would be to split the PDA slot into two squares just like the left side is, move the PDA into that new left square, flashlight/electronics into the right square. Put grenades into the left side left square, and then bolts/casings into the right square, and finally put the pistol where the electronics slot is currently across from knife. It just seems pointless having PDA and electronics dedicated to their own large slots.. especially since it seems like most of those icons would already fit into the single squares without alteration, though the "power" bar would have to be tacked on and obviously made small.

Just following up, that definitely had done the trick. Bandit slav jesus is now just another slight pay day towards getting that broken armor replaced. He still attempted to put up a fight but one shell of buck to the body and then a follow up to that gas mask removed all his worries about going thick succ on that pesky zone radiation.

Sweet! I will give it a shot and see how it goes. Wish I'd been able to provide a bit more information like a definitive rank for the stalker in question though not sure of a way to see the rank of those you killed unless it ends up coming from an addon eventually or theres some sort of way to get debug info of what you are looking at.

When you say "A single bullet to the head can kill anyone", how does this addon interact with armors when not using AP rounds? I'm certainly looking for more emphasis on low/unarmored target damage to make armors seem more effective (or more emphasis on armors resistance) though it sounds like just a straight increase in damage overall which in the end kind of makes even armor pointless..

He managed to take quite a few body shots as well actually compared to his companion, I couldn't find out how many though because every time I tried to take him out on body shots I would die before I could manage to kill him since my armor is kind of RIP and I wasn't aware I was going to be fighting slav jesus.

I feel like some of the resistances are a bit much.. I'd just came up on a bandit in my playthrough that took 7 MP-133 shots to the head at 5 meters or less to take down and because of that I went back and checked the top 100 ranking stalker list before killing... he wasn't even in the top 100's and it cut off at veteran rank. He was wearing only a bandit mercenary suit and a gas mask, forgot which model though wasn't a sphere even. He had a friendly with him as well wearing a bandit mercenary suit who otherwise only took about two hits to the body to bring down.

Thanks for the port, like whereismy this was my favorite HUD while playing Last Day and I'm ecstatic to see it made it over to Anomaly. Simple, clean, and effective without a whole bunch of extra junk and super easy to read. Whats more, I actually prefer the lack of an ammo counter which was one of my favorite features of AA2. Which is alright with me, though I mean't more of a port of 4.3.7 over to Anomaly more so than an update to Zone FM itself. (Made mistake in calling it 4.7.3 before.)

Since it doesn't seem that Tronex officially ported Zone FM over to Anomaly himself, I'm assuming anyway that searge got express permission from Tronex to just do the port himself and include it in the pack. Issue is, the version included isn't the latest 4.3.7, it's a earlier version of Zone FM without the latest features like the in game menu and customizable playlists.

The system was also made a lot more effecient and streamlined and it's lot easier to add songs then it used to be.

Might the TRX zone FM mod possibly see an update anytime soon(ish) to 4.7.3? It's got a few new nice features that make using it much more enjoyable and much more like a real desktop music player. Also, on that note... I understand that while leaving files unpacked in mod pack distributions is typically frowned upon, would it be possible to make an exception for zone FM files? It's just a little more of a pain to have to go unpacking the files to add your own music/remove stock music to the music player and make changes to the config which is required to make custom changes work. For that matter, I suspect a lot of people will likely have issues accomplishing that if they have little to no modding experience past "Extract, Double click .exe, play."

Oh, before I end up getting the "just use winamp" guy.. Some people actually like being immersed in that magical place we all like to call the Zone. That's the reason why Zone FM even exists.. of course you could just use a regular music player.

You're going to get yourself the .7z program by googling it (for some reason zip and winrar does NOT like extracting these files, they come out corrupt a lot of the time for me anyway.. USE .7z), open the first Anomaly-Repack.7z.001, select everything in there and then extract it, all the other files will extract along with the first one automatically.

*As a side note to seargedp, I would suggest you mention in your installation instructions in an obvious location that if people are having issues with "corrupt" files to download .7z and use that to extract, it seems that sometimes other platforms play nice with it, and other times it doesn't. First time I ever extracted Anomaly using winrar it worked fine but nay again and I have seen complaints of corrupt files.*

Use the presets available to you in the video options based on your amount of RAM and video card memory (chances are you have 2GB with a 960).

If performance is still sub-par for you, from there adjust vision distance, object detail (USE THIS SPARINGLY, setting object detail too low will make object rendering fall off long before your vision distance does, try to find a distance that you personally don't really notice objects suddenly rendering in.), various grass/vegetation options, and well in my personal case lighting distance.. but again that's something you want to establish a baseline between "Runs okay" and "Looks like ****".

You also want to sort of establish whether your biggest bottleneck is CPU/RAM or your video card. If it's CPU/RAM, most of whats going to help you is.. "how much less things can I have going on at once" (I.E vision distance & object detail) as opposed to "This just looks too good to be able to handle". Try also setting your xray engine process to high priority in task manager, you probably will notice a slight increase in performance... or if your processor is stable enough, possibly even realtime. Of course, it's usually not recommended to ever use realtime in any case, but... the processors of today are a lot more stable than they used to be and as long as you don't have a **** ton of processes going on in the background (which you shouldn't anyway if you are already having performance issues and should close some) you should be completely fine. I run realtime myself and in the entirety I've been playing Anomaly I've had only a single crash... mind you, this is xray engine we are talking about.. which is about as stable as a toothpick freestanding on it's own let alone being hyped up on priority steroids.

I've realized that I've mostly been pointing out a lot of issues with the pack (mostly in hopes that fixes will come for them), but I just wanted to take a moment here to do the opposite because I feel like it's WELL deserved here.

Frankly, I think you're doing a terrific job managing and upkeeping this mod pack. Aside from help here and there, you are only one person doing all the work here making all these changes and trying to stay ahead of what is seemingly a long winding curve, and there is just not a lot of people willing to do that faithfully. As you've stated yourself, this mod pack was even only originally meant for yourself until you were convinced to put it up on MODDB, something that you did not have to do, nor continue to keep doing. Even so, you're consistently pushing out updates and working towards improving things in this pack just about on a daily basis which is just insane. Just from even trying to keep up my own collections in the past and doing the slight changes that I understood how to do (I'm not a coder, but I can understand how to make certain changes by the context around things) I understand that this takes a lot of work, and in some cases it doesn't just come as easy as "change x value" and be done with it.

The thing is.. I play anomaly because it is basically everything I wanted out of Last Day. You are literally using 95% of the mods I had in my own mod collection for Last Day, except here it's improved even further, made more stable, and wrapped up into a 64bit engine which is just absolute gold. This saves me a lot of trouble of having to keep updating and making what -little- fixes to things that I could, and I can't begin to express my gratitude for that because I get that sometimes... you just really don't want to, but yet you just keep on doing it, and not even for just yourself but for the entire community that is behind playing your mod pack. That is one of the things I love most about what you do too, I've watched and seen that you actually communicate with people here on the feed and take note of recommendations, ideas, and issues that come up and even go as far to reply to a lot of those posts to verify that their "voice" has been heard, even if you might not fully agree with their ideology.

I just want you to know that despite all the issues I might point out, and sometimes sarcastic tone I can take that I am genuinely enjoying playing Anomaly. Yeah, it's not "perfect"... but I'd like to see a single person point out a mod pack that is, I'll bet you can't.. especially not something as massively feature packed as this. For everything you do,

Thank you.

I think the repair kits may need another revisit in terms of price balancing. For example I can get a outfit field repair kit from Ashot at yanov station for 4842 and it repairs from condition 40% and adds 14%, while a heavy sewing kit will sell for 5552 but repairs from 55% and only gives 12%... Just doesn't really make sense and I don't really buy "but the sewing kit weighs less" because it's only a .5kg difference.

Also, just at a glance.. because I haven't really gone deep enough to do the math behind it.. it just seems like repair items are a little TOO cheap now in general, so much so that it seems almost pretty close to making technicians completely useless, if not certainly. IMO repair kits should be a "because there's no other option and I'm in the middle of nowhere" case rather than the primary way of repairing your guns and armor. If you wanted the cheapest, easiest repair for your weapon or armor you should have to visit a trained mechanic at specific locations rather then becoming master mechanic on the go.

The upgrade kits and barrel swap kits from the AWR (Advanced Weapon Repair) mod definitely needed a drop in my opinion, those WERE way overpriced before.. especially considering if (anyone who actually uses that system anyway) repairs were attempted using that mod you actually have a chance of failing the repair all together and losing the cash price for the kit for no reason... and that was after going through all the hassle of ripping guns apart. In a case like that, a price drop makes sense just to try and balance things out compared to your other options, however imo the "on the go" repair items need a rebalance in line with mechanic repair costs, as opposed to the overall economy of things. In the end, your best bet for a cheap, "quick" (minus travel time of course..) repair should always be visiting a mechanic.

Is this still working for anyone running 1.3.1? Decided to try and give it a shot because I decided I'm not really a fan for the new character models (construction helmet guy? Wut? Not to mention free stalkers look like they are trying to roleplay a WW1 soldier..Honestly it's kind of immersion breaking..) and wanted to check out the older textures but when I try and load up game I crash out or even when I select a preset for that matter and apply my game straight freezes and never unlocks. Only using Anomaly repack, 1.3.1 update, and back to the roots. Also attempted different renderers.

That being said, some of the built in character models actually are pretty good and do fit in with the world (seva suits and the like could be a bit less neon colored), but imo some of them just need to go.

Looking forward to giving it a shot! I am actually still in 1.2.6 right now matter of fact lol. I did post a couple more issues I found earlier on your personal page, not sure if you'd seen or if they made it into this patch. Kazimir is doing just fine by the way now that I got him up on his feet finally, and oh boy...

If you thought that story earlier was good, you'd get an absolute kick telling you the story of how he was pinned down at sawmill, hordes of zombies rolling in with nothing more than his pistol and mosin, bullets smacking the wall everywhere left and right but to flee for it meant certain death due to to an apparition spawning blood sucker practically clawing the walls outside as it circled. Or the one about how in moving over to Jupiter from Zaton finally it came down to literally nothing more than 14 shots in his trusty mosin and a well sharpened hunting knife, immediately faced with having to go wrist deep in stabbing three big cats that ambushed him underneath the bridge there upon arrival.. fighting for his very life before desperately slinging his bag off of his back into the pile of bodies (I open my inventory to use meds instead of using quick keys for a little more realism), covered in their and his own blood and tearing his medkit out of it like he was reaching for the Oasis itself. Only then to be faced up against a monolith which had to be quickly dispatched with a well placed shot to the head at the train station while heading towards yanov station. Checking the body, it's obvious the man was experienced due to the droves of guns and items on him, particularly in question was two Armsel Protectra's at what could be assumed is likely at least a little under halfway decent condition, they both even had 9 pellet shots each loaded into them. It was as though a gift from god himself, for the heavy rushed gurgled breathing of multiple mutants in the distance surely meant one of his worst fears.. a pack of some very hungry chimera was closing in. Thinking quickly and bringing both his newly aquired Armsel's to arm, he would proceed to tear off running at a speed even Usian Bolt would be proud of, blowing off each gun like a terminator out of hell, the tell tale sound of the metalic cling of the Armsel's ringing out like Jupiter was war torn. Gasping for air, nearly empty drum mags, and three wounded chimera's right at his back he bursts through the Yanov station doors like it was sanctuary, practically looking like he'd just come back from the deepest parts of the zone. Luckily Freedom was there to assist him in in bringing down the chimeras or it would of meant certain death.... All said and done, after checking remaining survivors to dispatch of any would be free stalkers and tending to his wounds, everyone seemed to have calmed down from the inital shock and went about their business again....

A man of legend? No... Just another day in the zone.

It looks like the commanders option for "I want to get to the dead city" is broken as well at the waste processing plant. He tells you that you both have a long way ahead of you then and to get the cash out and then get going but nothing happens, the options on screen don't even change as in you don't even get a 1. Nevermind as if you didn't have enough money to do it. Also his option 3 is worded oddly, And I'm assuming it's supposed to be a TP there to that waste processing plant since it refers to killers and zaton but that doesn't seem to do anything either, not that it would do much if it is a teleport to there.. and you're already there.

One of the hardest is no joke, if not THE hardest lol. Pretty much every conceivable thing that is, is against you except for the commander who is your best and only friend in the world apparently.

I did try my very hardest to make it work out, oh believe me and I'd like to say I've had a bit of experience in the zone under multiple scenarios and mods so I never came across a fight I wasn't able to accomplish during that play.. granted a couple of those needed a handfull of reloads because the odds were just nuts, but despite my best efforts there was just about no way I could get a legit foothold in that place.

What finally did it was after I gave up and cheated myself some money in order to repair the ecologist armor ONLY so I could sneak onto the ship with, I managed to walk out with a single mutant hunting job that I was actually able to complete on map. I thought, okay.. no big deal! I'll just wrap this up quick, and then just keep hammering them away in conversation again as often as it takes to get the jobs I need. So... I go to kill this mutant yeah? Turns out to be a burer, hidden in a giant mass of bushes of all things... making ranged combat even inconceivable let alone possible. After reestablishing how much life sucks as a mercenary starting up in Zaton, I proceed to try and kill this damn thing (oh you better believe this was one of those "handfull of reloads" moments). Like a cat with nine lives, blood streaming down my characters face and neigh a brain nerve left in tack due to psi aura emitted from the burer... I finally managed to kill it just spamming every grenade I had at as though I was the zones first Olympian disc thrower. Oh.. did I mention that I was doing this at night too and burers are cloaked entirely in black? Because why the hell not, everything else was against me! Mission complete. Or so, I thought anyway... To my surprise, instead of the mission completing it instead updated to point to a mutant who was apparently... on the free stalker ship? About grinding my teeth to the gum at this point in frustration I make my way over to the ship about ready to murder everything in existence as though my character had a contract out for the entire world... I get there to find that there is absolutely nothing there. I looked below deck, above deck... to that extent, none of the free stalkers seemed too panicked either about a mutant seemingly taking asylum on their ship. Okay so... that's weird, so weird that maybe it's just a one time glitch, right? I reload... Round two, carpet bombing initiated. To my despair this time, once again the mission updates to the ship. Half insane at this point for real, I make the bright and forgetful decision of fast traveling to the ship to go check (I don't typically use fast travel, I have it on just in case)... as a undisguised mercenary dropping right in the middle of the mess hall like a solider behind enemy lines, except poor ol private ryan didn't quite make it out of this one...

Open up the console, type quit and press enter... and that is where the story ends of Kazimir Bespolov, the mercenary who had the world against him and a pocket of change to try and make up for it.

If you hate yourself and life it's very self and you enjoy suffering as much as possible that sadism and masochism doesn't even begin to describe it, play as a mercenary starting in Zaton.

I have to say, after trying to start up a gameplay as mercenary in zaton at the waste processing plant, I'm coming to find quickly that it's pretty impossible to actually accomplish, or at least about as hard as it can possibly get. Theres just way too many issues with trying to get started on your feet because of the way it's set up:

1.There is only a weapon trader present- no food NPC so you cannot buy any food related items, best you got is a stove and some charcoal from the commander.

2. The only other traders on map are on the ship, which is full of free stalkers who are going to shoot you on sight. For that matter, the only really other faction established in zaton is free stalkers.

3. No one at the base is willing to give you a job except for the commander because when you talk to anyone else at base they tell you to talk to him, and because the only other people really around are free stalkers.. theres no way to really effectively make money because you can't take jobs. (You can't even sell junk items for gods sake! Because again theres no food trader, who would buy that kind of stuff.)

4. You can't disguise to get onto the ship in order to be able to buy foods / sell items to Beard because if you DO manage to find a faction specific armor chances are 98% it's condition is going to be too low to disguise you, and you're forever too poor to be able to repair it because you can't really make money.

5. Because you're starting in zaton, that is where you are stuck until you can manage to open new routes since all routes out of map are closed... so you can't just skip along off to another map willy nilly to find some people willing to deal with you.

And how do I know all this for sure? Well.. I just paused my game right now to write this on the spot, because I'm a bit irritated thinking that my past grindful (more grind than any typical start anyway that is) hours of play are going to go to complete waste unless I am forced to cheat in order to give myself the money to repair a ecologist armor I thankfully happened to come across thinking "This is it! I can finally get onto the ship and actually start making money and buy food!"...... right before I put it on and then it told me it was too low to be used as a disguise, after spending most that time trying to get ahold of it for that very reason. As for trying to repair it legit? Haaaaaaaaaaa yeah okay, kind of hard to make a 134k repair when you can't even make money in the first place except for nickle and diming the little bit of ammo off that you can find to the commander, which... leaves you with nothing to shoot.... because you can't buy ammo since again you have no money. Now.. I'm all for a challenge, sure... but this.. This is just straight up masochist. #toughlyfe

Recommendations? Add a food/misc item vendor to the waste processing plant for mercenaries, and insert mercenary group(s) into the substation workshop similar to how they are set up in misery that might actually be willing to give you a job seeing as how everyone at the waste plant seems to have a stick way too far up their *** to give you the time of day. That being said.. I'm not sure if all mercenaries are like that, as truthfully this is my first time giving mercs a run. So far, I think I've made a baaaad decision! At least, starting in zaton anyway...

Okay, after doing some more testing I've come to figure out that it seems as though there are "fake" one use matches in my inventory. Don't remember how I went about acquiring them so I couldn't tell you how I did it but they separate themselves from other one use matches in my inventory instead of stacking up, I have 5 of them. If I just go and buy a matchbox from a trader or something I can use the entire thing so I would assume they are either ones I found on stalkers or in the world possibly. They have the same exact icon and description as the normal ones so I'm not really sure what the difference is but they don't work.

As for my other issue with the nighttime trader at the flea market, I've finally managed to find a body to a trader there which I believe might be his... of course, the only issue with that being that he's not actually supposed to be able to die lol. The other one still can't, matter of fact.... surprisingly enough, he doesn't even get targeted at ALL by anything which I found pretty interesting. Got a little used to seeing packs of mutants endlessly clawing away on immortal traders, It did happen with the trader at the train depot. I did run this test multiple, multiple times and not once have I been able to get there with him being preset, or alive.

If you'd like to reproduce, spawn as a loner at meadows in 1.2.6 and immediately book it through dark valley (move quick!) and come in behind the flea market there and make your way over, chances are you are going to find him missing or..dead? Just about every time, if not every like for myself so far.

Well, I couldn't really figure it out for myself what the issue was so I started reading around and I guess at some point in last day they made a change that you could not use the last charge of your matchbox as an attempt to save people from using it so they could light their campfires to save if they used that option, issue is... it effects everyone apparently because holding 6+ boxes of matches now with one use each it tells me I cannot light cigarettes, any of them. Sure enough I got boxes 2+ and they work just fine until they get to 1 use each also.

Hmm.. not really sure then what to do haha, no matter what I do I can't get him to show up in my game. I have verified for sure he is not spawning (for me, anyway)... or at least not around the flea market anyway because I mean I've literally gone as far as searching the underground behind the flea market and the bits of scrap around the place just for him alone thinking maybe, just maybe he got stuck somewhere and maybe his icon isn't showing for SOME reason, albeit it as if the man never existed in the first place sadly. It's a shame because I was able to find him sleeping/awake and trade him during night absolutely no problem in last day. (Specifics: I am playing as a loner, I have helicopter patrols on, I turned on fast travel to visited locations, I set mutant and stalker population to .75 each.... Not sure if making any of these changes could of caused him to glitch out possibly, but I haven't tried running default settings either or doing another faction so I don't really know.)
