Total War studio will create Warhammer games
The Creative Assembly have signed a contract for more games
Has signed an agreement to develop several games from the Warhammer universe.
Reports Eurogamer
While Electronic Arts has previously sat on the rights of the very popular Games Workshop board game Warhammer, which among other things resulted in the highly under-rated online role-playing game Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, has now passed the baton on to Sega and The Creative Assembly. There should be talking about the fantasy part of the universe, not science fiction section, Warhammer 40K, as THQ still own the rights.
The studio, which also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, according to Sega have signed a contract for several games. A launch date for the first game was not given, except that it will happen after 2013 once.
Interesting.
Hey, this can be a very good game or bad who knows.
I just hope this does not put a brake on Rome II Total war.
Same, it doesn't feel like too long ago there was some early footage on Reddit with the devs saying "sorry it doesn't look great yet but we're working hard on it". It did actually look pretty good already though.
As for the Warhammer games, I'm pretty confident the actual gameplay will be great but pleasing the Warhammer fans will be difficult.
