Should Robin Williams be honored in the next Zelda game?
After 90,000 signatures reply Nintendo wishes
In addition to being one of today's most beloved and humorous actors, was also Robin Williams a big fan of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. He has appeared in an advertisement for Ocarina of Time 3D (see title picture), and went so far as to name her daughter, which by the way has collaborated with Nintendo on a number of occasions and is a skilled player himself, after Zelda.
After Williams committed a tragic suicide as a result of Parkinson's disease and depression in the previous week, it launched a petition to honor the actor in the next game in The Legend of Zelda series. Specifically, the goal has been to get Nintendo to name a character Robin in the game to be released on the Wii U, and so far all 90,000 signed that they would do just that. Now Nintendo has released a statement regarding this campaign, but has chosen not to promise anything yet.
"Robin Williams was loved by Nintendo. Our thoughts are with his family, especially to Zelda Williams as we have on several occasions dealt with., We appreciate your involvement spillcommunitiet and hear the desire to place him in a future game., We will not to mention the possibilities for future games in this difficult time, but we keep the memories of Robin close to us."
