You should check out Shingetsutan Tsukihime. Basically, it's the story of a kid (about our age) who, when his glasses are taken off, can see these lines all over the world, and with his blade, wants to cut them up (basically). There's some interesting characters here, and even the english voice acting isn't that bad. I think some of the characters are especially interesting.
On my platter, I'm also watching Hajime no Ippo (boxing anime), Tenjou Tenge, Chrno Crusade (friends kept telling me to watch it, so I am), Hikaru no Go, Avenger (same designer who worked on the .hack//SIGN anime), Samurai 7, and Peace Maker Kurogane.
Of course, I could always use a foreign anime that hasn't been licensed in the US but looks great. I'm wondering if you have any ideas of good anime that follow some of the ones mentioned above...?
I'll have to check out your manga, though. Looks interesting enough. ;)
