ok let me ask this. how did you happen to install it? also, have you Justine? Last but not least, are you using a Pirated Copy of Amnesia?

Well Well Well, where do I start... It's DEFINITELY not the Full Conversion I played a while ago, in a good way. I've already been scared multiple times, I dare say. The story is a lot different so far, and I'm really loving it! keep it up!
ever since I played this back when you first released it, it was an excellent mod. I played through it, and eventually ended up enjoying your conversion to a degree which is difficult for me to enjoy. When I saw that MOTY voting was up, there was not even a question. You have my vote, and keep up the good work
I'm ok with the anime part. very much so
still not too excited about jump-scares, but I'm definitely willing to give this a try
Well, when you put it that way, I'll try it out. at least you're going to focus on a story
>jump scares

hello Sir. I had this problem at first. there's a simple fix. the phone is, yes, still invisible. there's 2 ways to get around this to date.
1. when you get up and the phone is ringing, don't tear apart the room. just go for the phone.
2. just go straight for the house. the phone sequence can be skipped
*SPOILERS IN HERE*
Phone still invisible, but the work around DOES. my only real issue now is "how will the player know that clicking the house will work?" I reccomend you put a memento or a player voice in there to tell the player he doesn't have to pick up the (still invisible) phone. OR maybe you could make it worth the player's while to pick up the phone? maybe a large oil potion along with the empty note?
problem is, I'm one of those people that forgets everything they playthrough. keeps the game fresh and interesting! hehe I'll probably get around to this tomorrow when I have time
I'll play through this again to look for any bugs. It'll be my pleasure
look as far right as you can. you'll know you found it when you find a set of stairs leading downwards
for now, I would do that, and in the future, back up your files to a secure location. I am at fault for not including that crucial step in my instructions.
well, I'm saying this now, MY Amnesia is still fine when I play it, but I have a Steam copy... I either feel like it's a retail installation difference, or it's something I said that you did that messed it up...
that's strange. I said keep both files for all of them too... in any case, you said you were retail, right? can't you just do a clean install if all else fails? I'm gonna try and get it so you don't HAVE to do that, but you can do that right?
that's strange... did you happen to accidentally overwrite files? I feel like you might have done so by mistake?
Do not worry, fellow players. I'm sure that Vengeful fixed his little error from the last time. I only ever really found the phone issue, however, and the whole "being unable to move your character" bug that I ended up finding the temporary fix for
I said this earlier, but I'll tell it up here again. load an earlier save, and don't chuck everything around your room. also try to get the phone while it's ringing. after you wake up, go STRAIGHT for the phone
1. Open Amnesia Hill.zip
2. Open Amnesia Silent Hill Folder within the .zip
3 Take all the folders in Amnesia Silent Hill and Merge then with any existing folders in your Amnesia game.
4. DO NOT OVERWRITE FILES!
5. Run Amnesia Silent Hill.bat
6. should be good after that!
Cross blends in real well with with the wood floor. it'll be in the room with the 3 bookcases on the floor next to the bookcase on the left. it took me a looooong time to find that cross lol
Zombie I had the same problem, and Vengeful said he'll get a fix on it. the phone is actually INVISIBLE! it's on the kitchen counter at the very edge. look for the hand.
I just won Amnesia Hill. Best Total Conversion Mod I've played in a long time
DOWNLOAD LINK IS UP! MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!
HELL YA IT'S UP!... not like I didn't have it already lol
this was WELL worth the wait. I played this already on the link he gave us, and it was WELL worth the wait. I've gotten a fairly sized chunk done, though I don't know how big the entire thing is... still, to people who haven't gotten it yet, you're in for a treat
the batch runs the custom story. this is actually a Full Conversion mod. if you Run Amnesia and look in your Custom Stories list, it won't be listed in the custom stories, so you NEED the batch file to run this mod
correct. after this, you should be able to run the Amnesia Hill.bat and it should work
those files are just inserted into the directory as their own new folder. the batch goes gets put in the same place. just put it in the Amnesia/redist directory. mind telling me if you're a steam or retail Amnesia person?
oh it's fine. here. I'll try to simplify, even if increase the number of, my steps.
1. install the Amnesia Hill Mod (Hur durr duh)
2. after finishing the installation, open the file in a program like Win Zip or WinRar
3. you will see a folder inside the zip file. double click this folder, and it should open
4. you will see a bunch of folders. open your Amnesia Directory
(for Steam Users, it will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent
for retail users it'll be "C:\Program Files\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist")
5. now in the .zip file, click and drag the folders into the Amnesia directory. the OS should ask you if you want to merge the folders. say yes to this. if it asks you to Overwrite any files, tell it NOT TO OVERWRITE!
6. continue until you're done doing this. if the file is not in a folder, it goes in the same directory as Amnesia.exe
7. after this is done, double click Amnesia Silent Hill.bat to run the mod
Hope this was of some help!
