Hi. So I'm not totally following you I'm afraid. This mod should work on Galactic Conquest as it works on all conquest maps. I don't know if it works with Ultimate pack as I don't think I've downloaded that mod so they may have done something special with their heroes that means this mod doesn't replace them, but if you're using my AI scripts, their heroes should at least get played with by the AI.

Yes I understand that. Unfortunately, the game has severe memory limits when it comes to things like Jedi characters, and if you have too many of them on one map (I'm referring to Hero assault here), it crashes the game. So a mix of jedi and shooters is necessary.
I have previously looked into using features from Anakin's remaster mod that will allow people to choose which heroes are used and which are ignored. I've also considered doing a 'manual' feature, like I have with map packs in my 'Choose Your Own' GC mod. I don't know if I will go ahead with either feature for the next release, or even when the next release will be. I've got quite a few other projects I'm working on first, and I may feel the need to take a break from modding again before I get to this mod. Sorry, I'm sure that's not the news you want to hear, but I'm only one person, and as much as I'd like to do nothing but battlefront modding all the time, other things keep getting in my way in real life. Certainly one day, I can see this being a feature, but right now I have no time scale for this I'm afraid.

As stated in previous comments, I'm not willing to make individual heroes because they can easily be copied. If anyone wants to make individual heroes, I suggest using my 'add your own heroes' option to make one

Soon, probably. Working on updating all my mods at the moment. Don’t know when I’ll get to this one though. Which is a shame because like 80% of the work was done before I went on hiatus at the end of 2022. But I want to add a few new features on top of the additions I’ve already got, and that will take time

Well yes, that’s the point, it adds the AI hero. If you don’t want the AI hero, use the version that doesn’t allow it. You still have to pay for the bonus to be able to use the hero in GC yourself, which given that the AI arent very good with the hero classes is still worth the credits

UPDATE 19/04/24

A few bugs fixed:

- In the standard version, you can now play with up to 65 planets. However, if you are playing with this many, there will be visual glitches. The game only makes a maximum of 50 connection paths visible. If you add more planets than this allows, the pathways will be invisible. The ship icons will also disappear. But you CAN play with 65 planets!!! The limit for the grid version is still 32.
- Fixed a glitch where if you had more than 32 planets in your addon folder and tried to play the grid version, the game would assign too many planets to your side, the enemy wouldn't be able to have a starting point, and the game crashes.
- Fixed a glitch where Project Battlefront: Scarif wasn't functioning properly and would crash the game

Thanks Marcos. When you say it’s crashing or freezing, is that while playing the map, or when transitioning to/from the GC? But yeah some of those bigger maps take up a lot of BF2’s capacity, I’m not surprised adding a GC on top of them is pushing the game over the limit sometimes

Hi Vanquish, thanks for your message. Would I be right in guessing you're playing in the Clone Wars era? I've just checked and Taanab is only available in GCW era - I usually get these and make sure the maps don't work in eras they don't support, but I must've missed this one, apologies for that. I'm going to fix it now, but I'm not going to release it as an update just yet, as it's an avoidable issue, so I'll just add a warning into the description here. So sorry, but your GC with Taanab in won't now be completable. You can invade all the other planets if you wish, or start a new one that doesn't include Taanab

Hi Chutchy,
You would never have been able to have 65 planets overall, because the game is hard limited to 50 paths. This is something fixed into the game, and cannot be overwritten (believe me, I’ve TRIED). So if you had 65 planets, most wouldn’t have been connected to anything and the game wouldn’t have liked that.
There’s no planet cap in place for the standard version. There is a suggested limit of 35, but I haven’t coded anything in to this one. In my work with Yeyos300 on his Reign of the Old Republic mod, there is a limit of 35, and when you don’t play with 35 planets, they are turned to stars. But on this mod, CYO, the grid is built based on which planets are in use, so they don’t turn to stars if not being used. The exception to this is a few of the stock planets and a couple of the mod ones that act as the framework for the grid, but these haven’t changed since the last version and actually I’ve made improvements to remove the stars if they’re really not needed (such as when they don’t go anywhere).
Not sure why you’re getting a black screen on Classic Grid version, as I’m not 100% following what you’re testing. It could be a particular planet is causing that, and if you figure out which, please let me know. But again, the map count limit (there isn’t one) and planet limit (again, isn’t one for standard except the recommended, and I think the grid limit is 32 but to be honest can’t remember exactly) have not changed since the previous version.

Generally, I’ve avoided mods that use radically different sides to the stock sides because purchasing units in the shop won’t line up with the units from the map. But I can take a look at including it next time, see if it would work

Thank you for pointing this out, I shall look into it now.

Edit: So I looked into this and wasn't having the issues you were with the Conversion Pack. So I had a look at the files on moddb, and found out I never installed the v2.2 patch for the pack. This removes the missions that you say aren't working and are working for me. I'm going to install the patch now and then retarget the missions. I'll take a look at dark times too, but there shouldn't be an issue as I use my own space maps, not the dark times ones, so that's weird.

These are some excellent suggestions, thank you so much! Some of them I've already got included in the upcoming release, but many of them I've never even played before! So I'm going to give them a try out now, and I will probably include most if not all of your request. BF1 Bespin Platforms Remaster should already be playable, even though it's not in my list. And my understanding is you can only play as the empire in Episode V: Hoth, so that one won't work. I'm not sure if I'll have time to add new planets for Duro and Suun Ra, so I may have to skip them, but I'll try to include them in the next version if they're not in this upcoming one.

Glad to hear you got the first problem fixed. Out of interest, what caused the issue and what was your solution?
Star Destroyer is quite an old map, and a lot of the old maps tend to crash sometimes if being played sequentially in Galactic Conquest. This is why in the read me I always state save between each round. That way if a map does cause the game to crash, you just open it up again and pick up where you left off, and it shouldn't crash this time. I've just double checked Star Destroyer with CIS, and it plays fine if being played before anything else. If you're still having an issue, it's likely with your installation of Star Destroyer.

Bit of an odd one: I've just noticed that the CW era crashes if I have the texture graphics anything higher than low. Doesn't affect GCW era. The only mod I have that might affect this map is HarrisonFog's HD sides mod, but I've never had it with any other map. I think the game is hitting some internal textures limit. I'm like 95% confident it's the game/map and not my computer, because of all the reasons previously mentioned. It plays fine in low textures, but thought I'd post this in case you know of a fix or if anyone else experiences this

Ahhhh fantastic work!!! You're right that this feels very different to your original Ilum, and is a nice improvement. Feels more like what Ilum should be rather than a generic snowy planet.
Only a couple issues I've found: the spawn points for CP1 are a bit off, they spawn you way out at the edge of the map, and a few of the AIs would get stuck out there. Also, and this might just be a personal thing, but some of the capture zones for the CPs felt a bit small. The central CP, CP2 I think, seemed especially small, you practically had to be within 2 paces of it to be in the zone. Also file size seems a bit bloated with all the side files, when all that seems to be being added is the heroes and the purge trooper (all of who are excellent additions by the way! Cal was especially fun).
Otherwise, it played very well! Well done again!
