i would like to help you with modelling, but i can't , i never made a single model myself :(
no i never used message chompster he uses it to rip unit model to scale stuff for his mod
To skin models you need Photoshop CS5 well i use CS5 but you can use any Photoshop with a dds plugin to skin mow models
