It's entirely possible. It's not the recommended way to learn, because of the added time pressure, but we have had novices attempt the topics in the past. The previous packs actually provide interesting code to learn from, since it's relatively straightforward (if sometimes a little cluttered due to the time pressure.) Maybe we'll see you there.
