I started making maps for games at a young age. First program was for Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. I remember playing Half-Life: Blueshift, 6 years later I had finally played Half-Life 1. I'm currently working on a mod called Industrial Void. After we get the first level completed I'll release some pictures and more info on it.

I was talking about timesplitters (the game) with my friend today when we ended up on the topic of light and time. This is pretty much what I ranted about.
Everything you see is technically back in time since the time light takes to travel isn't instant. Now there's a theory of the universe being like a ball, where if you keep going straight you will end up in the same place. Almost like if you were on earth, if you keep walking straight you will end up in the same place after awhile. So if that is true about the universe, then if we could see straight far enough we would see our own earth... trillions of years back in time since the it took that amount of time for the light to reach from the earth out and back again.
I know this is all hard to wrap your head around but I'm going to throw something else in there. If the universe worked like that, then wouldn't the fourth dimension be infinite space? Not time?
Infinite space... because we would be moving straight, or so we think straight, just like earth. But somehow, impossibly, we would end up where we started. We could still move up, down, left, right, forward, back, but still end up in the same place. Think of it as a ball, but the surface of the ball is is our 3D space. It is all wrapped around, and if you keep moving one way you do a full circle.
Now our problem with understanding this is that, all our lives we have lived in our 3D space. Even when we try to imagine it we still see it in 3D. We as humans need to understand that just because we cannot imagine it, or it defies OUR laws of everything, doesn't mean it cannot exist.
I dunno. It's all so hard to understand and that's why I love it.
/ranting done.
