Republic at War

I love the look and feel of this game, however I do note that there are a few issues at hand. First off, the AI needs some help. Every time I play a 2V2 with a computer ally as the Republic, I have to set them to at least "Hard" in order to even be of any use to me against two "Medium" CIS opponents, and that goes for Space or Ground combat. Also, the balance seems overwhelmingly tipped to the CIS. They produce units so quickly, and some of them (the tanks for instance) are overpowered and shred through Republic units with little to no difficulty. Some units are just too weak, and others are way too powerful (the artillery can pretty much shoot half way across the map in a ground battle). I find the only way I can win solidly against the CIS is by being extremely aggressive right off of the bat or throwing all of my chips in for one make-or-break attack. This MOD has little to no appeal for the casual gamer that would like to enjoy a long, relaxing skirmish.
I eagerly look forward to the next version and sincerely hope that things get fixed.
