I am a 17 year old who is starting work to develop a game called "Legion 2040" which can be found on this site, I like to call myself the "mapper" in our development team. However I will also be creating unique 3D models for the game as well as creating the cinematic aspects for the game for example the raw footage for trailers. In the development team of Legion 2040 I will be creating the maps for the online gamemodes, currently I am the only member that will be working directly with the game engine. This means most of what physically creates the game world will be created by myself but I will not be the only modeller in the team, when it comes to what I will do for the game... Including what I have told you I am working on ideas for game-play mechanics and generally pitching ideas for game improvements. Trailers for Legion 2040 will hopefully be coming soon and a tech demo shortly after, for more information on the game search for it here on indie db.

Background reviews

While we are waiting for the development of Legion 2040 to start and still also when the development has started, I will be doing some reviews of games here on Indie DB. I am not in anyway a professional at reviews however it will occupy my free time, and it also seems like something I could do.

Most reviews (that I have seen) are quite short here so I won't bore anybody with thousands of words, but I also would like my reviews to have some useful content. For this reason my reviews will be split into 3 small paragraphs. First a simple explanation of what the game is and what it has to offer in my eyes, second the "main review" this is where I will give my opinions on the game and all that is good and bad. Third and finally a conclusion explaining why I think the game is good/bad, and whether or not I think it is worth your time.

These reviews will mostly be of free to play games as this is only a background hobby however this may change in the future. The first reviews will be out as soon as I find a suitable game to start off with, for now anyway thanks for reading and I hope you find my reviews helpful.

Start of a project

Quite simply as you can tell a new game is soon to be in development the game is to be called "Legion 2040" The game is based in the year 2040, a time that you would expect us as humans to be slightly more advanced and to have solved some of our problems. But this is not the case Earth and humans are lacking resources and the remaining people have split into factions, and as in any collapse of society wars and fights begin. In this world however technology has been lost and these fights have come to creating weapons out of what can be found from what has been left behind.

The games development is to begin as soon as all of the tools are acquired for example the modeling programs that we are yet to get, we already have a concept and a clear idea of what the game will look and play like. This blog will remain short however I do plan on giving detailed updates once the game's development has started and real progress is being made.

More blogs will be posted and updates will be posted on the games page here on indie db when development or exciting news starts and progresses.
