I suppose, it will be difficult make playable character changeable to a child of a previous one, but I support the idea of making a child, choosing it's character and appearance. Though I have never seen a baby/toddler/teen in Warband, so mod author will have to do a lot for this feature.
Upd: There are some children in Viking Conquest (but I dunno, if player can make heirs) and in AWOIAF (with heirs but I didn't test it by far), so making children can be not as difficult as it seems.
