No guarantees when it comes to human nature, have faith in karma however and you will always feel assured. If we doubt our virtues to the point where we forsake them, are we really deserving to claim that we have said virtue? If we aren't virtuous due to fear that we may be hurt or not get what we expect from someone in given situation then are we not simply denying ourselves the rewards of being virtuous. If you do good, karma will reward you regardless of whether or not the person you helped was good about it, likewise if a person treats you badly karma will deliver unto them a punishment. Keep on doing good to others
