Yeah, new Protecta skin :) I've come a long way after this update. Finished the drum mag, side covers and sights as well as new screws here and there and a basic metal backdrop for the whole skin to rest upon. Ill update this screen later on!
And yeah, I learned how to realistically portray rust through many, many trial and errors and reading tutorials months and months, well, years now actually. The rust has been toned down, though. This was the "base" and the metal was placed on top of this, carefully removing the metal base by the sides to mimic rust creeping up to the center of the mag etc. The Cake principle, you build from the bottom up to the top! You'll see tomorrow what I meant ;)

Looking good so far, looks like a protecta? The rust is well made, I normally just overlay photographed rust. Which is a lazy way to do it I guess.
