The mini tank is indeed based on the the Bonaparte Mini tank from Dominion, but its not an exact copy.
The whole mod is heavily influenced by the work of Masamune Shirow, Partciularly the Mangas "Dominion Tank Police", "Applseed" and Ghost in the Shell"

The mechs and bipedal characters can strafe and backpedal, its just that the controls are a bit non standard.

The move backwards key may bet set to X by default not the more usualy S
(thats just becuase I tend to use WXAD, not WSAD, becase I'm wierd)

To strafe use the strafe modifier key (usually Z or Alt) with the left and right keys

Check your key definitions in the Configuration section and adjust to suit.

If you get this error on start up:-
Could not spawn a GUI Controller!
History: UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free

its likely you haven't got the ECE bonus pack installed, which is a requirement for UCB.
If its a different error let me know and I'll investigate.
