Hey folks, I hope everyone had a good New Year celebration.

I just wanted to drop an update here in the comments to let you know that the mod is still in development. The main issue taking me so long to get out the last piece of the mod, was a recent crash and back up issue with one of my drives and a cloud service I use. So far I have recovered about 30% of my work but the process is slow.

Until then, once I have more recovered, I will be releasing each audio rework of the major hub areas as I get them restored and completed. I don't have a concrete release date yet. But I will try to get them out to you guys in the coming months.

Take care, and again. Thank you all for the support!

The mod is always compatible with the latest updates from the unofficial patch. You just have to remember to reinstall the mod after each update as sometimes the patch overwrites the audio files with the vanilla one.

Hey! It's still in the works! Progress has been slow since I've released version 2.0. Since then I've been approached by several devs to work as a Sound Designer and Composer for several upcoming indie games, even a high profile Star Citizen Machinima (Combined Arms).
As such those have taken up the bulk of my time. However I have slowly been chipping away at part 3 when I have the free time. I have been floating the idea of releasing part 3 in chunks as they are completed.

Thanks to everyone who has shown support for my mod! I am still working on the final module but work has been slow since it's been tough figuring out what I want to change or improve but not disrupt the original feel of the game. Funny enough recording new atmospheric audio has been slow also because of the severe drought we've been having here in California so it has been tough getting good rain recordings here in Los Angeles that can be used within the Santa Monica and Santa Monica Beach locations in game, I could use other sound sources but authenticity is my goal here! Stay tuned for the final update!

I probably should have re-worded a bit better. The stealth kill sounds work just fine in pretty much all versions including modded, the line saying UOP only was refering the fact that the torch stealth kill sound only works with UOP or any mod that restores the cut torch weapon back into the game. Otherwise there will be no torch and as such no stealth kill audio for you to hear.

Hopefully this will make much more sense now :)

Hmm, I do understand what you are trying to convey. Like I said the file has no reverb or delay processing on it (Not really needed since the file was mixed down into mono anyway) It's possible you may be confusing the "spray" sound at the end as being echo or reverb, it's the recording of water spray in my studio that is used to simulate the sound of a large amount of blood spraying everywhere after the person explodes, it's a classic sound designer trick called a "Sweetener" used both in films and games.

If it persists in your game let me know, I'm curious to see if I can recreate the issue you have noticed on one of my other testing computers.

As for Bloodbuff and Blood Heal, no they do not use the same sounds. For some reason Bloodbuff is referred to as Bloodheal within the game files. Blood Heal was actually cut content that was reintroduced thanks to the UOP. The fact that Bloodbuff was called that in the first place is probably due to a simple oversight by Troika during production.

Thanks for the feedback!

If there is something you don't like within the mod you can disable that particular sound for now by navigating to your game folder and finding the audio files in question and deleting them, this will revert those audio files back to vanilla sounds.

As for Bloodboil there is not special effect tied to it as all the effects in the mod minus some UI stuff are entirely MONO, it's possible that you may have the "Environmental Audio" option enabled in your game which has been known to be buggy and acts weird for other players from time to time.

Also Bloodbuff IS in the archive you downloaded! It's called bloodhealing_activate.wav and goes in your "Vampire/Sound/Disciplines" Folder :)

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Yes, it should work with most if not all mods that still use the vanilla weapon and magic sets as it only overwrites audio files and their locations. I say "should" because I have personally not tested this extensively with other mods which is why I stress making a backup, it's highly unlikely it will break anything but it's always a smart to make a back up of your install before modding just in case.

Yes! However if you install an newer version of UP while this mod is already installed you will need to reinstall BAO again.

Yes! Keep in mind if you apply an Unofficial Patch AFTER installing BAO, you will need to reinstall BAO again as some audio files get overwritten during the patching process. Good to see you have the good habit of backing up files just in case ;)
