I am in love with this mod, the atmosphere when you're all alone in a soundless location tossing flares is beautiful and calming. However, the actual gameplay is pretty meh. And I understand most of the shortcomings are from the 64k limit, but now that the limit's not there anymore, I implore you to touch this up a bit. Having one pretty weak monster throughout every level can be very boring, and one weapon as well. Also, a little skimpy on flares depending on levels. If you wanted to go all in, make some more enemies and make the gunplay a little more complicated, maybe a reload feature or something to scare the player when they're running out of loaded shells. If not, restoring vanilla gameplay but loading the player way up with flares would also work, easier but likely not close to your vision. Just please, do something with it, I love the core concept. This mod feels so good to play, and everything looks super pretty, and sound design is stellar! But... the demon mode definitely needs a nerf. You just run into anything smaller than a cyberdemon or mastermind and tear it to shreds and get all of your health back instantly, and most enemies just become literal walking healthpacks during activation. I get that's kinda how berserk worked in 2016, but in this, you get to choose whenever you activate it (for a very cheap cost as well, I've piggybacked demon modes before because you STILL GET DEMON ENERGY WHILE IN DEMON MODE for a few whole levels). In 2016 it was designed around the level and lasted much shorter. Imo, suggested nerfs are like: No, or heavily reduced, health drops from demons melee killed in demon mode, higher activation cost, much shorter time limit, and no gaining rage points in demon mode. The rest of the mod is so amazing, but... I barely even see it when I'm just running through **** as a braindead invulnerable demon holding M1 and just smashing anything dumb enough to cross by my path. Yeah, I could just not use it, which I have been doing, but it's weird to ignore an overpowered weapon, and I'd also like to see it done right to where I can enjoy it as an extra mechanic. Hope it gets fixed, the rest of this mod is so amazing. Thank you.

If you're that concerned about keeping it OG, you should have this one, but work on another that has a lot more enemies. I've had my fill of vanilla, I want some strawberry in that bitch!
