Thank you for letting me know! updated description appropriately. At least at this time - I would suggest sticking with legacy to ensure encountering 0 issues.

It would technically work with 3.1 if the author uses the same textures; the changes of 3.1 of overall reducing the size of the effects would not take change so it is a bit redundant to use the new Hollywood.
To further explain why, the particles.xr file contains an effects changes/settings such as size, speed, etc. It also calls for specific textures and the path to reach them (located in a mods texture folder) to show up in game. If the paths or textures change then a black box effect will take its place because particles.xr couldn't find them.
As for 3.1 including CVFX, I haven't checked 3.1's folder pathing/naming but it should ignore the textures for hollywoods CVFX so you would still need to follow 3.5 CVFX installation to use both because BOTZ particles doesn't call for them but you could also just delete them in the event that they did.

Understanding this can help a lot for troubleshooting anything that touches the particles.xr, hope I was able to explain it well enough!

I appreciate the support and hope you have all enjoyed the game more with my mod.
I don't plan to update this mod further in terms of features/compatibility but the future could hold anything.

I want to share quickly that at this time I won't be supporting the new HollywoodFX 3.1 and instead provide the link to the legacy version for use with this. Also all winter mods that I am aware of use YAWM snow particles so this will be compatible with those as well (Graupel, Inverno, melting winters).

Lastly I want to mention that I don't intend to update for CVFX 3.7
The effects are a bit much and I think that they would not match too great alongside BOTZ - The mod author has provided download link to 3.5 and I will include it in the description.
I just don't have the time and motivation to update completely based on others preference right now, I hope you understand.

If you are new - G.A.M.M.A Mod Pack Also includes BOTZ along with building upon CVFX 3.5, etc. Gamma is great overall and highly recommend to use that if there are any problems encountered now or in the future.

Hope you are all doing well and I hope to see you all again for STALKER 2

Thank you, sorry for the the late response. Could you share which BOTZ you used so I can test/fix?

tested a few without being able to recreate so I may also need your load order/addon list if you can provide that as well, thanks!

Thanks! this is actually unrelated to BOTZ i believe, i don't touch the textures of blood pools. This does occur though and It must just be vanilla

Hi, I've been investigating but have been unable to replicate this. Im familiar with this issue and have fixed it before and it occurs when textures are missing/pathed incorrectly, are you using the latest upload? and latest BaS? You will always want to load BaS then this. Please be sure that you are using Botz (standalone) if you are only using BaS. Any other file requires cinematic VFX / Hollywood FX and you will always load BOTZ after those

Hey! I looked into the boar grill campfire issue. I suspect The author may have forgotten to add the texture to the folder of expedition. I went ahead and just added the texture that he provided in the CVFX comments to this. Should be good to go, let me know how it works as I actually wasn't able to replicate this issue.

Yess, this is unfortunately a bug from cinematic vfx. others showing it on cvfx page too.

Edit: he uploaded a fixed version in the comments but ill probably have to do it manually anyways since other cinematic and variations of it just really dislikes the thought of decompiling correctly unless its my own. ill look into it the next time i have a chance to see about fixing it:)

this, there are a lot of unused textures the author has packaged and I edited them to my preference from at the time for my playthrough. Some wanted to use so 6 months later I uploaded it

No problem :) The most important thing is that you have something that fits your preference! hoping to reach the point with this addon of having more choices for amount/color as that was the initial intent, not to be a definitively better choice by any means. <3

Sorry, i've tried and I can't without doing it entirely manually like I did for cinematicVFX and have 0 clue to what exactly was added in it that is different from just the regular CinematicVFX since its the same author. This addon will work for expedition, but some things will be missing if there was anything added at all.

ahh okay, sorry for the confusion. I'm actually going to try and fix that now
(changed, hopefully less confusing, yawm merge folder gone entirely and just mentioned in a read me, as all files are compatible with it)

Hi there is! :) you'll want to open the "z.(OPEN) BOTZ + CVFX + HWFX (& YAWM)" and choose your flavor inside

edit: and i want to be clear that this doesnt include yawm, it works with or without the mod. its just inherently compatible. I did this so I didn't make loads of files and could've just done the same with the original files but didn't want to cause confusion

Thanks for letting me know! i'll check and upload within the hour if so.

edit: Running into issues for merging because it doesn't want to decompile correctly, just like CinematicVFX. but I very much want this merge and contacted the author about it to see if he could lend a hand. We will see :)
edit2: Managed to get it merged before he responded, new files uploaded !

Very odd, gamma does have a lot of addons, 200+ but its very stable supposedly and should work fine with this addon as long as you use the merged botz - cinematic vfx. Other than that i really have no idea what could be causing this. Asking in the anomaly discord alongside your logs and modlist will hopefully give more info than what i can provide at this time

Hi, can you go further into detail on what happened before the crash? How many mods used. In general this log could be a one off. Meaning that it usually isnt replictable. If it is it could be that you use a lot of addons, or too many saves/often quick saves. Some say they have had this while putting on 3d scope from BaS. But this addon doesnt touch anything but particles.xr and nothing in this log indicates that its from that file. If it truly is for whatever reason an issue with dxvk, then anything that touches particles.xr would cause this issue, cinematic vfx, hollywood, bas, etc

Thanks for understanding, seems he deleted his discord too so I don't think a merge is likely to happen. again sorry. This addon should theoretically work fine with expedition - but obviously like you said it will overwrite any new particles jdud added and I have no clue what he added compared to base cinematicvfx

Sorry, but i'm having issues merging this... It would be possible to do it fully manually but it would take hours. I use some extra tools to make the process go a lot quicker. But For whatever reason this particles.xr has issues decompiling correctly. The latest cvfx also has issues with this and I had to do that one entirely manually. I'll contact the arthur and ask about it but I refuse to do this merge if I have to spend the majority of the day on it. Hope you understand :(

Youd have to manage google drive acces permission and open it. Might have recieved an email for access request too.

Hi, thanks ill take a look :)

Edit: After looking into it, I wont't fully support expedition because of how many problems it seems to cause as well as its a bit messy. But I can see about sending you a merge, I requested access to your google drive so I can merge from your version specifically.

Thanks! next thing I'll be working on are more presets less/more/different during my free time, but it will be a little while from now before I decide to upload, as id want to do about 4-5 choices per optional merge cinematic, Hollywood, + YAWM merges of cinema, hollywood, standalone etc. Very tedious work lol. But I will likely upload when I have atleast Cinematic, standalone, and hollywood(original and realistic) done as they are probably the most used anyway. And I will probably limited the amount of choices for Hollywoods presets since it doesnt make a whole lot of since for someone to use realistic with and 'ultra' bloody preset

Hi! yes there is, literally. different textures, size, amount, speed, timing, color. and believe it or not, little more subtle even though this mod for some is a bit much. Some of the other choices provided by cinematic for blood options involve big red clouds of smoke alongside regular smoke on impact which isn't present here. only minor red cloud that tried to better simulate a 'mist' effect.

If it doesn't touch the particles.xr it will be fine. for YAWM in general, I can't say, isn't my addon. But if I had to guess, probably not. you would have to try yourself!

Not compatible with Hollywood just yet, I'll make changes hopefully tonight with its own folder of optional merges for YAWM. It only works for cinematic vfx users for now. meaning that hollywoods effects wont show up or work at all with with this enabled, and will cause errors if cinematic vfx isnt installed. The problem with using a non merge is that snowfall will not show.

edit: Up to date and working for hollywood.
