I see you've adressed some of the issues and I applaud you for it. One thing I should mention however, is that while the Hardcore Aid option is a cool idea, you might want to consider removing it due to how buggy it is. When I started the game, the moment I passed out in the town and got transported to one of the APR/UFFL locations, the turotial required me to heal a wound. Doing so made me pass out and teleported me behind the NPC giving me my first mission. I had to restart the game and go trough the whole taxi section again (which you have now thankfully removed) in order to progress. The next time I passed out, I got glitched inside a rock next to the first safehouse. You can get around this by savescumming I guess, but if you go with the limited save option, it would be infuriating to have to replay a large section because you got stuck inside the terrain. It is very likely to cause even greater problems during the few scripted story missions, as I imagine you'd be teleporting trough the bar's walls while having to defend it.

If this is built off Infamous Fusion as I said earlier, you might also want to specify more of what this changes compared to the base game, as people will most likely currently choose IF or something like Redux + Realism, thinking that this mod is far smaller and not realising that it may already have some of the the features of the other ones. For instance, does this have infighting and use of the utility truck by enemies?

Your mod seems to be largely based off the Infamous Fusion one. I can easily tell since it's the one I was playing before I installed this one. You should probably credit the authors as they don't seem very fond of people reusing their work.

That aside, this also seems to have the same problems that mod did. Things like not being able to swim with your head above water (worsened by the slower swimming animations, as you now drown faster), multiple missing outposts and patrols, no way to tell your ammo or health even though the HUD elements are there for it. I understand going for realism, but I don't think you need to make the mod so hard that you go past it being realistic. I don't see why the character wouldn't be able to tell how badly he was injured, count the magazines he has on him, not be able to keep his head above water or bring along a working GPS. This mixed with the fact that he can fix a broken car by screwing a bolt or heal an injury by pushing the bullet out trough the other side. And if you were going for a higher difficulty, then I do not understand why you would remove outposts and patrols. That's been done better in other mods too - removing the sctructures rather than just the people manning them, left for me to wonder if they just ran off somewhere or the game is bugged as I pick up an ammo can without the location getting noted down on my map.

I will test a bit futher but the first person model doesn't really seem to show signs of rusting atm. I can't remember how the original textures looked when rusted, but I can't notice any discernible difference beween a jamming and brand new one.

Edit: Ah ok. It's just really subtle.

Something is wrong with your MP5 texture and you didn't fix it. The one in the gunstore is completely different than the one you can find out in the world. What I mean by that is: If you exchange your MP5 for an enemy MP5, both will look exactly the same. The 3rd person model shows up as the old rusty MP5, and the 1st person one on both uses the new textures but doesn't have any rust. In the armory, the 3rd person model on both new and old MP5 matches up with your new textures.

So there was infighting on another safe house I was next to just now. But I didn't even partake in it and it told me I've unlocked it lol

Well then it's most probable it's in-fighting, because that's what happened right next to the... I forgot the first time this happened was at an underground HQ, not safe house. Was kind of odd last night though, because there was an undisturbed sniper and vehicle right next to the house and no obvious bodies nearby. I guess there's a probability the other guy just noticed something and ran off looking for me or snipers just don't give a f*** and there's dead guy like a kilometer down the road lol.

Yeah, my other thought is that some of the enemies spawn as bosses and those either a) don't count towards unlocking a safe house when you kill them or b) they run so far away from it to come kill you, they break the script. Because both times this happened I was getting swarmed by them near those safe houses.

Btw, I don't know if it's a problem with the bosses seeing people from a huge distance or all the factions in-fighting, but there's currently a problem where some of the enemies you need to kill to unlock a safe house will go missing. You need to drive to the edge of the map to get them to respawn and then drive back and kill them.

Also, can you tell me which part of a vehicle I need to hit to get it to blow up in one shot, because I notice sometimes they do. Is it the interior?

Um... Did your anti-virus happen to quarantine some of the files? Because Chrome is telling me the file is not safe to download.

I don't have the game installed right now, so he will have to tell you if that's the problem. I know he replaced Frank with Michele as a playable character a few updates ago, but I don't know if that does anything to the the in-game buddies or you just end up having a twin. I'm also curious what would happen if you loaded a save where you played as Frank.

Edit: Installed and tested. Works fine for me. I have both of them in my contacts. I'm also around the same point. Just completed the barge mission and currently busy unlocking the new guns. I've changed mods multiple times now though.

This is probably something to do with your new female playable character. What happens if he rescued Michele Dachss from the plane crash in Act 1 and had Frank Bilders in his Act 2 buddies?

Btw, couldn't he just send you the save file?

A "safer vehicle"? Did you put a tank in the game or find a way to activate the airbags?

Wait... how did you get them to use both? I thought they only have a secondary and primary slot? Did you just make the MGL a secondary?

From what I remember seeing in the code, doesn't the single-player one use the M79 grenade, but the multiplayer one it's own?
And even if it's not an object, wouldn't giving it to snipers or rocketmen circumvent the problem, as they are usually at an elevated position? Or is the problem that they try to shoot trough cover?

Btw to fine-tune the MGL140, couldn't you create a seperate entry than the one the player uses in the weaponproperties.xml, edit the projectile and give it to the Rocketman or Sniper? I guess it would be really OP though. You could make it have no drop-off but a slow projectile or reduce the blast radius and reload speed. Or just be really innacurate with massive recoil when fired.

Most 1.03 trainer features should work. If not, the Devmode cheats should work. And if all else fails, you can always try Cheat Engine.

Btw, if you want the GL and crossbow to 2-shot vehicles, a good idea would be to make it like in FC4 where the first shot immobalizes it. You can get the regular assault truck to spew black smoke so it needs repair before being usable.

Yeah, I just copied over your code and that worked fine. Unfortunately, I got fed up with fine-tuning everything and uninstalled the game :/ Might wait another few years to see what other mods people come up with. Who knows? Maybe by that time we will also have a Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 mod that doesn't make it feel like an Early Access Far Cry 2.

So I used another tool just to be able to see what the decrypted Sound bits are. There is a section called IronSght and fIronSightFOV in it. The FNFAL one is at 0.95. My guess is 1 would be the standart non-aiming FoV.

You can probably somehow make it bring up one of the other sniper scopes when you use the iron sights, but that's tacky as hell. An easier solution would be to decrease the ironsight FOV value. But I'm not sure if that's the fShootingIronsightAngle line or not.

How did you change the FAL to semi without breaking the sounds? I'm guessing it's something under it's "Sounds" bit, but you had to use another tool to decode it?

Right, so if I wanted the sniper to use an LMG for both close and long range, would I have to use the <SpecialWeapon line and a selCategory 1 gun or would I have to put it as <PrimaryWeapon and use a selCategory 1 gun?

Ok, I think I got some of the basics down, but I still need some help.

1. I undertand some of the weapons have their own _Merc pre-fix because the mercenaries have no special weapon slot, so it is a way to make those their primary weapon. However, what's the difference between the PrimaryWeapon and SpecialWeapon lines then?

2. Would the selCategory make any difference to a _Merc weapon and how does it correspond to the PrimaryWeapon and SpecialWeapon line?

3. What other differences are there between _Merc weapons and regular weapons? When would I need to create a _Merc weapon instead of using the regular one in the gamemodes.xml?

4. How do I reverse-engineer RealMode's "rusty enemy weapons go into special slot" thing? Do I simply need to change the selCategory on those exact weapons?

Aight, what lines should I be looking for exactly if I wanted to increase arrow speed and trajectory? The RealMode bolts have the trajectory of a M79 grenade. I own a bow and can tell you the drop-off and speed on the arrows on a 42 pound one isn't as bad as this. The Crossbow has a lot more draw weight and bolts are lighter. It's annoying.

Edit: It's fSpeed and fGravity under Fire, isn't it? Or fTime and fGravity under Fall?

I mean the new camo and texture blend in with each other and you can barely see it when it's on the rack in the armory. Took me 10 minutes just to find it afer I first bought it.
