"...but the second level pack is newly developed especially for the remaster and features some stunning environment design - especially impressive on Quake’s old engine architecture."

I think the remaster is using Nightdive's KEX engine. Not sure exactly how that relates to the original Quake engine. I will say it's super faithful being in a new engine. I haven't read a technical dive on it, but did they take pats of the Quake engine and create plugins for KEX with it?

EDIT: FIXED. Using OpenMW nightly build fixed the missing table mesh issue. Now the UI fonts are slightly smaller, but I think I can fix that . :)

I was able to permanently fix this without changing resolution scale by going into the properties for darkplaces.exe and changing (windows 10)

Compatibility->Change High DPI Settings->Override High DPI Scaling Behavior->Scaling Perfromed by: Application.

Seems to be fixed no matter what DPI scaling I have configured in Windows.

Answer for this is below in another thread, you need to use 100% resolution scaling in windows + set the desktop to the same resolution you are going to run the game at. Annoying but it works.

If I set the desktop back to 4K and set the windows scaling to 100% it works at 4K. So it seems to be a combination of what the windows desktop res is set to PLUS 100% scaling needs to be used.

This is kind of annoying, I wonder if there's a way to disassociate darkplaces rendering scaling/res from the windows resolution setting. If It's running in fullscreen this shouldn't even matter, but apparently it does. Ugh.

I have the same exact problem. It's especially bad at 4K.

Are you using a 4K monitor and desktop resolution? I'm going to try setting my desktop res to 1080p at 100% scaling and see if that fixes it. I was thinking it MIGHT have something to do with the resolution scaling at 150% in windows at 4K (I have a 15.6" laptop with a 4K panel using 7700K + 1080)

EDIT: tried this... 1080p actually looked ok with desktop set to 1080p @ 100% scaling.. 4K still looked horrible.

Might have to use some setting in compatibility mode?

move the contents of the darkplaces folder into the Quake directory. Don't put the folder itself into the Quake directory, put its contents there.

For some reason the scaling of the rendering of the game doesn't match the resolution I set the game to. The rendering looks like it's zoomed in on a small portion of the scene in 4K. It's not as bad in 1080p but it's still happening.

I'm having the same footstep sound lag in the latest stable GZDoom. I guess maybe it'll be fixed in the final version. It's not THAT horrible, but the footsteps add quite a bit to the ambiance and sometimes I'm tricked by them lagging that there's still a monster alive near me.

Wad находится в структуре папок установки Doom в вашей паровой библиотеке. C: \ steam \ steamapps \ common \ .... например. Файлы WAD вы найдете в этих каталогах. Извините, если это отстой, я использовал google translate для перевода с английского.

Sorry if someone asked this already. I'm using latest stable GZDoom and the new beta. It seems my footsteps sounds are "lagged" where I still hear them for a second or two after I move, all other sounds appear to be playing properly.

I have to say after reading about Brutal Doom for so long and never taking the plunge this is GLORIOUS. Fantastic work. Wow.

I tried these with the latest UQE H2 and the engine crashes when the textures directory exists.
