I just want to comment real quick on your star wars vs star trek debate cause i think its funny, and its irritating me that none of you have proposed apples and oranges. I'm no treky, and i'm certainly not a big fan of star wars, but still, star trek is for the most part bound by real world "laws of physics", as Gene Roddenberry intended. Star wars is straight out of Gorge Lucas' imagination. You can't compare the two. For example, in one episode of star trek TNG the Enterprise picks up a prince and princess having Romeo and Juliet problems, and winds up being threatened by the warships of both royalties's home worlds. All you trekies know which episode I'm talking about. But anyways, there is a scene where Riker and Picard are talking about the threat level of the two warships and mention to each other that the two warships were using laser weapons, and thus wouldn't even be able to scratch the hull of the Enterprise. In star wars just about every weapon is called "laser", and most of them don't even seem like anything close to real lasers, yet they can still wreck entire planets. Even if you call it plasma, it makes no difference. Gorge Lucas made up his own reality for star wars. In star trek Enterprise the first weapons earth has on its ships are plasma cannons, and frankly they stink in comparison with more advanced particle tech the Vulcans have. There is no way to compare star trek and star wars simply because they're apples and oranges. The best you can do is just pick a favorite.

O also, love the mod idea! Star trek in EAW should have been done long ago. I think adding land combat would be neat too, since land battles actually do happen in star trek. Star Trek Away Team may give some good ideas for land battles.
