Still won't work, say's a problem has stopped this program from working, which is quite obvious, might I add. I can't remember how much I payed for this game, but it was money.

The game window comes up, but blank, and then almost straight away "max has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution" and then "max has to close"

Guys, this wont even launch now, it was earlier, maybe its just a sign for me to go to bed, its 03:48 here

Graphics are very laggy, is that a gameplay mechanic that is wanted, or will it be fixed?

I now have xna 4.0 redist. and the game launches fine, albeit in a window, maybe thats normal, and to be honest i dont mind, but when i select new game, the image of (presumably) max's room appears, but it's dimmed and i cannot do anything.

Well we got a new computer today, windows 8, AMD radeon HD 7310 ( cant remember if its the card or the driver), so its definitely DX 10.0 compatable, and probably DX 11.0.
Haven't downloaded the game to this drive yet, actually i will just transfer everything from my expansion to this one now.

I downloaded the update, launched the game, but it came up with an error, which was just the basic "Max has encounterred an error..." either my computer is incompatible with this game ( likely, as it is about ten years old) or the active defragmentation of the drive the game is on has caused it to do this. I await your response with open eyes.

I apologise for the use of bad language, it was entirely uncalled for, but you must understand my annoyance. Thanks very much, I shall eagerly await this fixed build.
