It's interesting to see your mod flair up in popularity again after someone made a YouTube video whining about the difficulty (mostly due to their own ineptitude) I finished your mod on hard and had a great time struggling to find different strategies for each areas, and combat aside, you made really nice-looking and detailed arenas for all the maps. Looking forward to playing whatever you plan to make in the future!

For those curious, the secret is in the room with the stretched shelf and boxes, on top of one of the platforms is a button that creates a portal. If you destroy the picture in that room with a LOT of damage, you'll get this link to the art used in the mod!

(There's also a 2nd secret for shooting the big blue button on the wall after the clock jumping puzzle)

What a timeless classic this mod is, it has its charm in the difficult platforming and odd translation, but is delivered perfectly in concept and very unique!

Great maps! Is there a reward for collecting all the gold gnomes? or just the thrill of exploration? :D

Thanks for your continued commitment to documenting the history and supported life of this mod, I don't believe I've seen anyone more committed to uncovering any secret in a (relatively) obscure Half-Life mod. Residual Life is probably the most elaborate and extensive mod in terms of level design, different paths, and secrets. The language barrier between the community and Toxagen makes for an interesting challenge to dissect and analyze all his incredible level design work over the years. I too fondly recall playing iteration after iteration of the mod trying to discover new things, and being sent down nearly hour long alternate paths chock-full of secrets.

If Toxagen ever attempts to translate these comments, I hope they understand how much admiration is held for them for their commitment to one of the best HL mods of all time.

This mod is just... so incredibly expansive. I'm amazed that over all these years, you're still adding on to it. After running through the mod several times over trying to explore everything there's STILL new maps I haven't discovered! It's a shame about the language barrier, otherwise I'd love to know your design process over the course of the adding all these new map elements like the citadel-esque structure. I'm greatly looking forward to 1.8 and the secrets that come with it!

You're incredibly talented at creating atmosphere in your mods. This is one of my favorite HL2 mods in recent years and I hope you continue making them.
