I think the reason that you can't run the Quake2XP mod, is just like me, your video card's minimum requirements. For me, it's because my ATI Radeon 4870 card only is capable of OpenGL 3.3, and Kirk's minimum is OpenGL 3.5. I think your 3850's OpenGL is probably the same as mine.
