Yeah, I just read online that games off steam should work fine.

I have a question for you. Is Day-Z free? Is Rust free? How about Nether or the stomping land? Those are all in the alpha/ pre-alpha stages, and actually cost more money than The Forest. Just be glad it's not 20, or 30 dollars.

What game has ever been like fully 100% realistic? That would be a VERY boring game.

There are missions, they just made it so that it's optional.
