Scourge of War is the best American Civil War real time tactical battle game that exists.

It has the largest scale of any such game I've found. We've had multiplayer battles with up to 22 players and 80,000 troops on maps of 25 square miles.

It is very easy to mod and has a thriving multiplayer community. It's a rare game that can have really competitive multiplayer that is very replayable. It doesn't get boring.

The game itself is unlike any other out there, with its combination of scale and strategy where the terrain and fog of war is critically important, just like in the Civil War.
