I had the same problem at the same time. I wasn't able to continue playing. It said the execution was paused (or something like that). Did you find a way to unpause it or was it different for you? I could still control the mouse, and I could select menu and I quit the game. (overall one of the most polite and gentle crashes I've ever encountered.)

I played twice and got a Fatal Scar error both times.

The first I played was the tutorial map. Space marines vs easy necrons. Not sure what the win condition was.

Second time was Orks vs Dark Eldar (I was winning too).

I installed both UA and the latest patch (the one available today, not sure the number).

I didn't have the 'new races' picked. And don't have any other mods installed.

The win conditions did have eliminate HQ (I saw one of the statements said that was a problem with necrons, but that was an old old comment.)

I also had +10 population cap, Titan Wars (I think that reduces the resource cost of titan units), builder start (whatever the mod is to start with a builder unit), and I think there was one more, but I can't recall.

I am using windows 10.
