The new trading mechanic has the bank bringing up 3 random resource cards for auction every turn. Each player then individually bids on the cards they want similar to a silent auction. The cool thing about this is that there are lots of interesting choices: do I bid all of my cards for the auction item I really want? Or spread my cards out more evenly? Even cooler is that we can offer bonus plots of land or even 'power up' bonuses as cards for auction and players can decide how much they really want each resource and supply and demand variances in each game will keep it fresh and interesting.
