Just stumbled upon this module and I am glad I did. It sounds promising, so I'll be keeping an eye on it. Not enthusiastic about being restricted to level 1 - would have preferred say level 4 - but I guess that limited power is essential for survival horror.

The narrative sounds intriguing too. :)

I don't know what would work best in previews without being too spoilery or anything, but I guess I'd like to see a bit from each faction that you can join.

Congratulations on finishing up with college. That's a pretty important milestone in your life there. :) Thanks for updating us about the game, the three plot lines you teased us with here sound quite interesting.

I didn't completely understand the implications of everything you said, mostly because I know nothing about the other modules you mentioned, but frankly, I took this as a big negative. If EotN was a complete module in its own right already I don't see how ripping content from some other module will enhance it. All it does is give the module MOAR content, and that isn't always necessary or indeed a good thing.

I certainly understand not wanting to scrap what you have already done and I think it'd be cool to incorporate it in the later entries of this series, but this first module, which as I understand was NOT designed with this content in mind, and was nearing completion... just not sure it is the best "home" for this content.

Forgive me if my ignorance of the stories and modules involved, as well as module development, has led to me saying something irreparably stupid. Since my post was mostly negative, I would like to say that I appreciate the frank update, and I compliment your hard word on all your modules. :)

I definitely agree with wombaciur. It's best to play without a walkthrough for the first go. Speaking from experience, since I have bought a walkthrough with a new game before. Never as satisfying.

Still, a walkthrough AFTER for a game with lots of secrets and stuff is always good. :)

Yeah, I'd actually like to see this idea brought to more RPGs. Sometimes it gets a little old being the one competent being in the universe, and makes it hard to suspend belief.

Didn't make the MS connection. Partly because I haven't played FO3 since New Vegas came out, and partly because I never thought of him as a real dude. It was just a perk to me, not some guy stalking me and showing up at the oddest times.

Glad to hear a lot of quests will have multiple potential solutions. Should add a lot to replayability. I myself will probably try for as many diplomatic solutions as I can first time through, since there is a distinct lack of that in modern RPGs. Though maybe I'll change my mind when I get in game.

Love the idea of other heroes roaming around fixing up your **** ups. :D Will try my hardest NOT to see one of them, though. :p

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear the delay means the module will be even better. :)

Ah, of course. Been playing to much of the aforementioned games lately, and not enough NWN! In that case, I'd probably prefer to be able to choose the first name, even if the last name is set. It is not a big deal, however.

1. More quests would probably be more interesting. Depends on the engine of course, exploration would be way better in something like Skyrim, but for Aurora, quests.

2. I prefer descriptive scenes. I lack the ability to write them though.

3. Depends on the module. I tend to rofl stomp everything with a fighter/rogue/shadow dancer hybrid in NWN1 modules, usually bolstered by a selection of awesome equipment. Since that won't be an option here, rather rely on my skills. Having the conversation skills play a big role is always good, and I really enjoyed use of the rogue skills in other modules.

4. Custom characters. Lucia seems like an alright character, but if you were to settle on a character I don't like for the next, I might not play it. Still, if set characters are significantly easier to design, then I'd settle for it.

5. I always thought that having everyone call the protagonists of Mass Effect and Dragon Age 2 by their last name, even their closest friends and lovers, was retarded. If you go with set characters, give 'em a first name.

I must say, the module is looking really good and I love all the information you are giving us in the news posts. I'm particularly excited about the faction system; what is you describe is very different from say, Skyrim, where you can just join all the factions and even lead them all. That, and the large companion pool and stuff makes it sound like this module will have heaps of replayability.

I do have two questions though, and I apologise if I missed them being answered already. Firstly, does the game continue after you solve the "main" quest, allowing you to pursue side quests, and secondly, what is the intended difficulty setting? I'm assuming your balancing it on normal, but I wouldn't be surprised if you were actually rolling with D&D hardcore. I kind of expect that I might not be good enough to play through as intended, though I'll give it my best, so I might find myself on easy if I'm unable to progress.
