Playing the base game for a bit is recommended
There's no way to make a tutorial unfortunately, build mining barges, take your time understanding the tech tree, spam destroyers

Unfortunately we don't have french localization (as all the textures would need to be done as well with french text)
We'll have room for that in Sins 2 though
Join our discord and we can help.
If not, redownload/install the mod, follow the addon load order instructions (and only use one addon from each category), don't use with other mods.

You need the base game installed
Vanilla sins has a very restricted particle limit (7500) due to its age
Modern hardware can handle 10x that without any noticeable performance decrease though, and given that the mod is particle heavy we suggest people increase that limit (and give the option without making them go into the configs manually)
Thankyou! It means alot to us
At the start of the installation process, it asks if you want to enable the mods or not.
Old school music is rock/punk/electronica, while new includes orchestral/epic/newer stuff
Turret sounds are old and new, self explanatory (EVE recently redid all turret sounds)
Unfortunately the only way to keep up with updates is by joining the discord for now
The mod is complete, with only small polish patches being released every so often under the same version release
Minmatar has a massive focus on range and speed, while Amarr has a massive focus on tank and DPS (though not as much as Gallente on the DPS side),
Caldari has a focus on tank and range. So you should be able to outrange them (depending on the ship).
Minmatar should have either the same or higher resists though, you can check that out on the spreadsheet linked at the top (the icon).
Unfortunately its a 32bit game and we're at the limit. Big plans for Sins II though.
All good, I hope you enjoy the mod!
The trig equivalent of the Orca should be able to build the Astrahus equivalent, then you'll need to go down the production chain of making ships to make the larger structures.
The only ships that do that are T1 Destroyers, which are meant for bombing planets and destroying strikecraft.
Only thing I can suggest is to redownload the mod and use the latest version of Sins, sounds like the mod download is corrupt
That's pretty odd
Try following some of the troubleshooting in the readme file
The Revenant has special drones that use a kamikaze ability, in saying that its also the only ship that uses a "Drone Summon" ability.
If the game crashes often when opening UI elements then you're likely over the memory usage limit by using too many addons (if you've tried deleting your settings files, etc) and its still happening.
Try deleting all the files in Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Setting, if that doesn't improve stability, then opt-in for the last beta of Sins, let it download, then opt-out and let it update
Performance may be worse with the planets but stability is actually better, there should be less crashes / minidumps (unless your settings files are corrupt or the game itself is, which is semi-common)
The reason we didn't provide an optional addon for the older planets, were because they were the worst last thing in the mod that we didn't update, that were Years old. None of the textures used the correct UV's and showed buggy, like they didn't fit the mesh (which they didn't). We decided that the upgrade was well worth it; perhaps not for people running on potatoes but there arnt many people doing that still. I do apologize, but what we had last time was so bad we can't even consider making it an optional addon.
Thankyou for reporting this!
I added the cyno jammer and jump bridge to the player profile but not the techs, which are required to unlock them
Fixed and will upload that soon
Any other issues please let us know asap
Ahhh, yeah the new planet shaders would put a bit more demand on the GPU. I'm genuinely surprised it can run Sins though, let alone this massive mod.
Are you using an Intel GPU by any chance or integrated graphics?
Sins doesn't support resolutions below 1080p
1080p is what the game is natively designed for, it can run at higher but UI graphics won't stretch or scale to higher resolutions.
Make sure UI Scaling is turned off, no Sins mod supports it. We have removed the option within the mod so you may need to disable it, change the setting then re-enable it.
Delete everything in Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Setting, your settings files can become corrupt after using mods and this can reset them. Otherwise make sure your load order and types of addons are correct (be sure to only use 1 Citadel skin addon and 1 Ship skin addon at a time)
This is an issue specific to some localizations that we were not aware of until you brought it up, thankyou!
Next release which is right around the corner will have that fixed.
I'm glad you're enjoying the mod as well! We appreciate it massively!
Let me know if it works then. I can't remember if sub-mods need to be below or ontop of, but it should only be one submod type at a time (ie, one ship skin addon, 1 citadel skin addon, etc).
