so if the installation FAQ is outdated, how the hell do i install it?

i have been trying to play this for 3 days, spent probably over 10 hrs watching tutorials and juggling files and the goddamn thing doesnt even show up in my mods column, i am incandescently furious. >

none of the install instructions work. im on windows 10, through steam. been trying for 3 days and watched over 20 tutorials

i have literally tried every variation of installation and none of it works, i was so hyped to play this mod but now im just frustrated and totally put off.
EDIT: im on windows 10 so my cnc folder isnt even under documents, it under program files(x86)>steam>steamapps>common> command and conquer 3: tiberium wars>mods(i had to make this folder)>essence

hey man no matter what i do i cant install rotr no matter what i try.any advice?

i really want to download this mod but im not good at modding.is there a comprehensive guide to downloading this mod? and if i did would i only need the most recent files or all of them?
