Blockade Runner sound very interesting and promising! Also distinct enough from minecraft to have it's own appeal.
An unsolicited idea: consider making the blocks 1/3rd man-hight or less. This will allow humans to walk up "inclines" without constantly holding the "jump" button, or necessitation awkward half/stair blocks. Just something i wish Notch had considered earlier in development.
