Or perhaps I am just busy...modding is a hobby for me, not a profession. Therefore, it has taken a back seat while most of my time has been taken up by my professional obligations. I do intend to resume work on the project when my schedule becomes more open.

Stass Allie - she's the one who gets shot off her speeder bike during the Order 66 montage.

Interesting concept for a project! I can't try it out myself since I don't have Half-Life 2, but it caught my eye because I live near the real-world Centralia. Centralia really is an eery place - just driving through it gives me the creeps.

It's a piece of art from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. The artists did a lot of great work for that game! The artist of this particular image is Darren Tan.

There will probably be a Phase II armor variant. That way, I'll be able to add the ARC Trooper to a few extra maps.

Just to clarify: the pistol model and units skin are not mine. The pistol was created by DarthD.U.C.K. Unfortunately, I am not sure who exactly created this modified MagnaGuard skin - it's been pretty widely distributed across the Gametoast community, so I'll have to go double-check who the original author was.

I do want to give the some more attention with skins, but I'm not so sure about the RC-style skins. I love Republic Commando, but I've never been so fond of the game's battle droid skins.

Not possible, unfortunately. There are a lot of things from the Battlefield series that I wish would transfer over to Battlefront. I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 2 lately, and it can be really tough to switch back and forth between the two games sometimes!

I'm not planning on making totally new faces for the Rebels, but I am switching the pre-made faces up a bit. The Rebel snow engineer as seen above is one example. It uses the body of the stock snow rocketeer, but the face of the soldier.

Thanks! The only new skins in these images, though, are the clone skins. Everything else can be found in the stock assets.

I use Mod Tool 7.5, the most recent free version. XSI is the preferred modeling program for Battlefront. Mod Tool is great for static props and weapons, but it can't do things like animated character models because of some limitations and incompatibilities (well, you can create them in Mod Tool, but you won't be able to export them).

I did indeed try it, but I generally don't like non-hero melee units in Battlefront. They become a nuisance in the hands of the AI, and they just feel like watered down Jedi for human players. The electrostaff-wielding Magnaguard will certainly appear in the mod somewhere, just not in standard Conquest gameplay.

You mean the 'worlds' folder from the assets that came with the mod tools? Or the 'worlds' folder from a new map that you have created?

It will basically look exactly like the reference image I posted. While I do like the Force Unleashed rendition of Cato Neimoidia, I'm going for the Episode III style.

I'm not really looking for extra community-made maps at the moment, but I appreciate the offer!

I've just been too busy to write up any news posts. Don't worry, work is still progressing very smoothly, and there are plenty of things for me to write updates about once I have a bit of free time!

Yes. The driver controls the big mortar cannon, and two other units control the turrets on the top and bottom of the vehicle.

If you mean the old Aldura maps, then the answer is no. The planet could make an appearance with a new map, though.

The X-wings in this screenshot are just props (although they are destroyable!). They are, of course, available to fly in space missions, however.

Unfortunately, flyers cannot strafe in SWBF2, so it is impossible to make the gunships act as they did in the first game.

I'm not sure. I'd love to include gunships on Geonosis and one or two other maps, but it's difficult to make a ground map well-suited for flyers.

Each ledge is approximately the same height as a normal unit, so it's plenty of cover to crouch behind. Also, that command post is situated on the high ground of that area, so enemies cannot fire into the command post until they are practically on top of it. Finally, keep in mind that the map is still a work in progress. As I said in the news post, I still need to add some smaller props to fill out some of the open areas.
