Thank you! Yep it is a shame. And it was difficult for us to make the change - we were working hard on Project Ark for years. But we're in a much better position now, we're more organised, more realistic in our goals, and things are moving at incredible speed. Be sure to check back for new info in the next couple months! :-)
The digimon "Project Ark" fangame aspect is closed, but "Project Dark World" is something that will be very similar in tone, mechanics etc, just without the digimon. We're still working, we just haven't updated for a while - we'll have a new update very soon.
We've been working very hard behind the scenes, I can't believe it's been so long since we last posted. Updates can be difficult to maintain on top of everything else, but we'll definitely have an update for you shortly.
It isn't down, we've been having issues with some people unable to access it. Sorry about that; doing my best to fix the problem but not having much luck.
Though it's just a landing page for now, so you're not missing much. We've been working very hard behind the scenes rather than splitting our attention between the game and updates. I'm hoping we'll have a small update for you guys soon, and hopefully a fix for the site.

Sadly You did not misunderstand. So to answer your questions
the name will be Project Dark World
Models will be in an updated style
Story will remain the background.
Background is what we have spent the most time redoing since we need
to step away from the digital aspect. We basically will be using Dark matter instead of something like magic.
