I followed the directions in the in readme file and enabled the mod via text instead of the ingame system. But when I start the game up, the mod is not online and it is the stock game. I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong so I am taking another look, step by step, making sure I didnt derp and overlook something simple.

shame, I do enjoy those epic space battles.

One of the few problems I have with this mod and by few, i mean only two is that in heavy fights or with in 10-20mins of playing the game, It fails to render the turbo lasers and missile shots. All the sound clips are playing but no render of the shots. This detracts away from the desirability to want to play this. I have looked over all my drivers and did a few uninstalls and reinstalls of video drivers and have not been able to fix this problem. the 2nd problem is the game crashes to desktop randomly while playing... it could be with in the first few mins of playing or with in a few hours.. the time is random. I am still trouble shooting this and trying to figure out what exactly is doing this. mainly this is me checking and double checking my drivers and what not.

I have this exact same problem.. I follow the steps as per the forums and I experience the same crash due to the run time error.
