So it's been like a **** ton of years and I'm gonna send this out right now:

The mod is officially dead. I will not be doing anything Doom related for now on, and will be going off a new name very soon.

The reason goes back to college and how much busy work it really is. It's been draining my time here and there and sometimes, I never have the time to actually sit down with SLADE3, code a bit of DECORATE/ZScript/ACS, or even make sprites with GIMP (kudos to some modders out there that put in the effort and time). But really:

The main reason is because I am pretty much done with Doom. Seeing how Doom 2016 was, I just gave up. It feels like the new ID wants to grab my cash and make a quick money asset out of that game (Eternal will probably feel the exact same way). I am not wasting $60 on a AAA game where the only gold is like 1/3 of the whole game (in fact, I only wasted $10, a much better deal). We're not discussing about bugs like getting "disconnected" from playing the singleplayer campaign, or spending preator tokens but it doesn't return anything, because some people would argue that those are minor bugs (and really nobody looks at those). Multiplayer and Snapmap just... died. Seeing that I would be stuck in a community where people would actually spend $60 on a game like that (plus DLC, and we haven't even gotten to the part where they made it all free after update 6.66) and a good majority of the community are pretty toxic about other new games/mods in general, I'm moving out. I don't really get much entertainment from looking at sprites over and over again with maps I already have played over and over again; it gets extremely boring.

No; I want to make it as flexible as possible so that you can remove some addons so that it doesn't make you restart your game.

You're running extra addons. I don't know which addons contribute to which changes in D4T, but you'll have to experiment with removing one by one to figure out.

OK I (or the other guys who also contributed to voxels) am not gonna be like the PB3 voxel people and actually make a ******* sphere voxel holy ****. I don't care if they have a mold for a sphere, holy **** no, that's beyond a lot of work (and especially since there's a small effect around it, oh hell no for sure).

Really long hiatus. But it's not because I'm busy. It's because I may cease development once and for all (this applies to anything BD related by me).

Been very burnt out of Brutal Doom and the only thing that revolves this modding place is just that and Project Brutality. Nothing else. Not in the mood to be dealing with a modding community filled with toxic fanboy nazis about both (sub)mods (especially if some guy exaggerates how there's like too many weapons, calls it cancer even after its been corrected, and supports a project that has way more monsters than the number of weapons I have and an abundance of upgrades, which is clearly NOT cancer).

Plus I'd rather make my own mod at this point. Doesn't mean I won't be using Brutal Doom resources (in fact, there are some good things about the mod; it's not all bad).

Sometimes you just want to get away from Brutal Doom but you're just used to those interesting and various deaths each monster had. Welp, combined with another weapon mod, this mod is well done.

The gameplay just looks like all of the RGA mods put into one BD addon, but I'm not really fully interested in that. What I am mostly interested is are the sounds that you used (even though I have a giant folder of purely ripped MW3 sounds, there were some interesting ones in here). Don't mind if I use them for my submod's stuff?

Question: Is this submod dead?

Answer: No, but do keep in mind that something "BIGLY" and "YUGE" is coming (and it isn't your guts). Also the current public build will stay intact, and will not be changed, as this will be the last public build of v4.0. I already have testers, so please do not start asking me "CAN I TEST UR SUBMOD U DANK MEME LORD?!"

ETA is most likely a few months after v21's initial release. Maybe even 1 week afterwards.

I'm pretty sure GZDoom 2.4.0 is released already. I haven't tried the one from github, but if anything, here's the link to 2.4.0 if anyone scrolls and is looking for it idk:

Some of my current testers are using the 2.5.0. SVNs. IMO, I wouldn't look into that, but this has been tested with Zan 3.0 all the way to GZDoom 2.2.0.
