Ha, no we not be dead...Were charging up again in progress, Kills is back after a short break, I've got some cool add ons on the go...I just forget I need to make public news posts. Check the forums more often you will see something over there.

I'll have to revise the instructions to include more out-of-game setup info...Can't say off hand why it won't work on the mac, do other Q3 mods / tc's work ??

Radical...that looks so realistic. I wonder how it animate's??....Now, you guys just need to get phong shading and alpha-blending surfaces integrated into the engine and your terrain/rocks will look as good. Nice work!

It could be both, as long as it's all compatabile with eachother. Very annoying not being able to connect to a server running a different OS.

Godfoster - Thanks man...The excitment is mutual, considering I've been waiting over a year now for new development to start, but were well on our way to a release...Yeah, the teleport spawn is kills work, the shaders are mine, but the magic is in the code...:) **actually the real magic is the intergration of code with game content**... btw, the Q3 engine is easy to work with once you know how to format your meshes (3D) So, if you ever wanted to take a shot maybe making a custom player model, or things like that, I can help...Im planning on writing a few tutorials if I get enough requests.

MXsora - Definately !!! Kills rocks the boat with his skills...He's been doing great work so far, with what was left of the code when Shinster stopped. Its no easy task and its a heavy responsibility to fill, but he's driving through it steady. ( Lots on the go )

Valid points...Why not go standalone?? its a ponderous question indeed...For some stange reason I feel a tendency to adhere to making it a q3 tc, but who knows...perhaps we shall live to see it happen yet.

Thanks dudes, all the positive reinforcement is definately being heard and appriciated.

Raid - As I mentioned before, most of the functioningand gameplay was implemented last year, yet remained unfinished due to some bugs and glitches. It may seem like a poor reason to withhold a release, but If all works out, like I think it will, that release will be soon.

Godfoster - thats a mighty good thing to say, much appriciato. btw, you wouldn't have happened to teach a gr 12 art class before ?

We all love Capcom, they make some of the best games; Megaman, Project Justice, Street Fighter.. They've always been cool in my book. Id love to get a job there...

I wrote them long ago, I think the letter was posted on the site.

Ok, thats very well, you did offer your help and that was a good thing. If you really wanted to show appriciation and respect to XB, I think contributing some piece of source from your game to ours would be a timely gesture, or is your team still die-hard anti - Donx rebels? Also, its easy to call a person out on things which they lack (weaknesses) but greater is the person who can call out a person for what they can achieve. We are all somwhere, whether it be good or bad, circumstances can change everyday, soo..just keep that in mind.

Im about tired of discussing things in this freakin comments page. Im going to do what somone suggested and open the forum. There...please let's use the forum for talking now.

Right - I'll back off, just had to say my piece about that. It was never an issue of source code initially, just the media and such I created for use in X-Buster being used inappropriately without my permission or respect to X-B. If I felt in any way that you guys "actually" respected what we have done here, then I would stop any further insults. It actually has me quite interested...

Quiet now...No need to hint on subliminal insults...Work is always being done, there is progress being made, for what constraints I must work under. I'll have a news update this week.

Oh and because I feel convicted and all-together quite joyeous today after hearing a very intelligent sermon at my local spiritual school (church) I wish to share with you all. The kingdom of heaven doth cometh, so be prepared in your walk, for the apothecary is tainted and the smell is foul before God. Hope is great thing, keep hopefull people and share that message with other people when their in need. If you would like to talk more about this PM me.

Well, the primary thing would be in the coding department, esentially to help level out the gameplay and get some of the new features implemented or polished up. We need Sound producers who can make all of the FX elements for characters, environments and Menu. We could use some talented map artists who can work with the gameplay features and make well suited arena levels. Modeling, animations, textures and most of that has been finished up to this point, documentation, planning and design is also finished. So really not that much other then the coding.

Its not enough, but I updated the main page and added an ingame clip (I know its short) I will be making some more and getting those up. Asides from that, I guess its just a matter of making small steps towards a better product, though Im starting to feel it might never be what we had hoped. *shrugs. Even so, Im sure we can eventually finish it fully, but for now, small steps. If anyone wishes to spread the word that were in need of some help, that would be super appriciated and will be rewarded equally to prove our thanks. Also, were open for suggestions if anyone has any, feel free to share em.

Im not quite sure what you mean by Par's source code. If your suggesting his website source, then that's nether here nor there because in due rights its his and if he wants to share it, thats fine. If it was X-Buster related, then I'd have to argue against it, but then I cant understand why he would do that. I dont quite see how Par was brought into the picture concerning this.

AND Another thing, since you seem to like teaching lessons, here's a word of advise, because Im not a person to be overly pridefull to not still be wise. You might appriciate this later in life if you ever get into trouble. When you appologize to somone, even if you think you were justified in saying what you said before. You DO NOT just say sorry and continue on with the insult. You basically just skipped right over the appology and it becomes worthless as if by saying it, you get to walk right through that door of open critism, well believe it or not, it would do you and them beter if you actually showed some further intergrity by stoping an expanding on what you were sorry about. This is the same for accepting appologies, dont ever throw it back in somones face because that's even worse. You didnt mention anything about using my models for your release, or those maps for magazine ads, hell, not even a hint towards any such appriciation. So, really...This is a meaningless appologie.

That being said, I see no reason for any further dispute to continue, its tiresome. I dont like MMA and what you've done, you dont like X-B...but atleast we can agree not to sling arrows at eachother anymore ...

Its working correctly now, so check it out. I'll be updating the news and uploading some new clips of ingame matches very soon.

Geez...How sad is it that people have to debase others to make themselves feel better about themselves. I dont need to explain myself to you (MMA) and I really see no reason why you think you have the right to post on our board with useless, critical bull ****. Go away if thats what you feel ! Honestly...Not one here respects anythign you say in the first place, not after the amount of bad mouting and sheer disloyalty you've shown.

I havnt abbandoned anyone you jackass, in case you didnt realise it, X-Buster was a team of like 5 people to begin with, we all basically stopped production after Shinster left. So please do not blame me if your upset about this because Im just as upset. Were not purposely trying to withhold the release any longer then it needs to be, Im even starting to think that if somthing doesnt happen soon, maybe we can distribute our more recent build for the fans sake. We would have all been overjoyed to have finished it last year and see people playing it online and such.

And Listen, atleast I've been working on things in the meantime, updating my models, sfx, animations and some of those maps I made, which you guys use to brag about MMA. Just keep your negative comments to yourself, so that atleast, we can regain a bit of decency in this world.

Look, thanks for the concern guys, I realize it might be cool to get the forums back up and maybe a good site update, well...What can be done about that...sadly, not too much today. Its a progression, a slow trial and error progression. The site now serves as a relic, not an interactive community...Par left X-Buster awhile ago, so we cant do much towards this problem, unless I see it beneficial in some way. Perhaps when things get organized and a release is made, then a forum might serve for certain things, but as of now....Id much rather work on designing levels.

Seems unlikely, unless quake 3 is mac compatible without a specific build for it. I'm not saying it won't eventually be compiled for mac though, we need to sort that out after the linux build is up and working.

Yo man, thanks for the vote of support for X-Buster. Ive been working quite extensively on this thing for quite some time and would have been finished by now if our noble coder hadnt left. Tell me, you offered help, what areas might be available? I know we are in need of talented level designers who can map to our gameplay style...also, any code work if thats a possibility.

I extend my hand to your support and accept it in salutation...I agree there is much to be said for the un official work of amateur designers, as well as professionals, who eagerly work towards personal accomplishments as well as public contribution. For all the additive "irritations" it does impose, ecspecially in concern to X-Buster and its apparant need for dedicated workmanship in areas of code development and level design. Not to mention the "behind the scene" delima we are facing. I will contact you today then...
