Please help, I unzipped the file and it only starts with a black screen with music. Any idea how to fix this?

I think I saw a file that had additional textures, like a greener time of year mod. I took a week off- NS clean zone textures is the name. I'm just recopying the new mod over it again.

Cobblestones are "rocks" you mentioned. Maybe they turned that off in the latest patch of this game.

Yes, it's temporary until you do quests that need to be done. The more you get into the game you'll see.

That was on older versions of this game. One in Pripyat I came across is on the 1st street between buildings with shooters on the roof. Make a save before you get to the exploding backpack spot, and go way over to the other side of the street. It's a prank the creators came up with for fun, yet I always find a way around.

Big thank you to the people who made this new mod, it really is so much more bug free than ever. Crashes like I got used too hardly happen anymore. Gameplay is so much more fluid than ever.

It happens here and there, you seem to have to find a path around the "bug" of whatever that "spot" in the map is. Usually just a slightly different not so direct route to where you are heading. I do a quick save near known problem areas like that. Then it's just trial and error to avoid the "scatter your loot" spot

I was using CS exo, but I'll try this new CS SPP9 suit. I also agree on the game getting better going further in. I love the new usm-1.0 plug in, after almost 10 years it makes the game great to play. Instead of re working all that effort to get what u had before you can just have fun.

I tried your recommendation, and agree that method works. This map this time even after all that still no blue arrow on the map after sacharov gives me the agroprom document quest. Maybe I just need to stumble on the right spot. It's up the ravine to the left of the downed helo correct?
I get up there, start stumbling around and looking down see the bunker and further out the big building for x-16.

I'll look there again, but the arrow for the transition is not there. I've used that spot in other mods. This is one of the "quirks" I experience here and there. Happy new year.

Okay, now things are getting better. Does anyone know where the transition that Sacharov gives in Yantar to get to agroprom? He said he marked it on my map but there's no mark. Maybe another hidden quirk to discover here...

I got the fix early on, and I'm going back to older saves due to transitions crashing. I'll see if doktor still sells artifacts back in Cordon. I like the game a lot, it really needs a updated guide due to "quirks" with... almost all quests. Everything needs insider input to accomplish goals.

I mix it up with both, I've replayed the main quest already in other mods loads of times. I can't stand playing errand boy for nothing. Some characters get greedy & demanding; many times I'm improvising as crashes occur. It's the crashes and side quest issues. Currently Yantar to wild territory transition crashes; same with red forest to military warehouses. Now since I made the Doctor sells artifacts it is looking more promising.

It's true, I got tired of trying to get a pudding artifact so I made all of them (looks like maybe 50) artifacts able to be bought - really unique ones too. just ltx file changes. btw Bread,vodka & canned meat is $100000 for trading and making fast money w/ most traders.

The file I uploaded is unique hard to find Artifacts for sale by doctor in Pripyat. I made bread worth like $100,000 for this. Easier way to make money.

I wish I could get the pudding artifact to buy the rifle the trader has at the end of the cordon. Someone said they gave it to themselves, I am not sure how to do that. The atlas spawn mod doesn't have it. And I just turned off the brain scorcher. Too late to get the transmutation device I guess. Any ideas anyone?

This I read in another forum and it works, and it seems sometime there are just bad saves too.But try lowering settings and also (this will sound odd) take all items on belt, weapons ect. and put in backpack - armor too.
