I am currently a graduate from the University of Advancing Technology with a Bachelors in Game Design. My main focus is to learn level design in particular, and in the process, learn how to script and 3D model. I am a level designer on the game The Afflicted in Autonomous Games, so check out the page on this site and tell us what you think!

How do you go about creating a map lay-out from scratch for this type of game-play? Is there a set of level design theories or practices that your team follows to ensure that levels are interesting and play well? Also, how do elevation shifts affect game-play in the case of a FPS tower defense game?

I am also a level designer and would love to learn as much as possible for designing levels for a unique game-type.

Help support The Afflicted with our new KickStarter! Kickstarter.com

Any donations will help and spread the word to your friends and family. We are attempting to fund raise $6,000 so that we can show off our game at GDC. Thanks everyone!

The bathtub looks really good, but the rim of the tub looks very rigid as it rounds out on the side that is closer to the viewer. It could be the lighting that makes it look this way, but I feel that this rounded part needs to be more smooth. The tub is very smooth every else except at this section of it and overall it looks very nice.
