That one is a total conversion, and yes, it's much more accurate. This mod is just a passion project :) also, the viewmodels in the latest version of the total conversion mod are screwed up on my gzdoom

I already changed the Zombies death sounds to HGrunt voice lines in v1.1, but since their pain sound is shared with the Revenant and Imp, it's really difficult to choose between scientist and xen monster since this mod is meant to be part comic relief lol.

All of the monsters in DOOM sound very aggressive and willing to fight the player. The only Xen monsters I could really find which was a non-boss unit but sounded real ****** was the Bullsquid and Alien Grunt, cause all the other monsters sound either obscurely optimistic, too quiet or sounded like whales, which really isn't the same vibe as the loud violent kickass nature of classic DOOM.

I'll put "mp5 firing sfx" to consideration, but a pistol which sounds like an SMG is a bit weird since the pistol and chaingun share the same firing sound.

Rocket launcher sfx to HL1 RPG seems the most reasonable.

I prefer to use the unedited sounds of the game (except when absolutely necessary like the HL1DM item respawn sound or the HGrunt Voice Lines), and all of the Gluon Gun's firing sounds are pretty darned long not to mention the Plasma Gun has individual firing sounds instead of three sounds stringed into a loop.

BFG to Alt-Fire Tau Cannon also sounds like a good idea.

I'm very new to DOOM Modding and want to keep things as simple as possible, so that's that.

I might release all of the comment section suggestions as version 1.2 by November.
